Installation Tools Required

Installation Guide

Step 1: Door removal

Description: Open the car door. Use a plastic pry tool to carefully remove the interior door panel.

Step 2: Remove tweeter panel

Description: Locate and carefully pry off the tweeter panel from the A-pillar or door trim.

Tools required: [?️ Plastic Pry Tool]

Step 3: Disconnect tweeter connector

Description: Locate the electrical connector for the OEM tweeter and disconnect it. The connector is typically secured with a clip.

Tools required: [?️ Plastic Pry Tool]

Step 4: Tweeter connector disconnected

Description: The tweeter's electrical connector is now detached.

Step 5: Remove plastic panel

Description: Use a plastic pry tool to carefully remove the plastic trim panel around the door handle.

Step 6: Unscrew the screw

Description: Use a PH2 screwdriver to remove the screw located behind the plastic panel, typically securing the armrest.

Tools required: [? PH2 Screwdriver]

Step 7: Remove armrest

Description: Gently pull upwards on the armrest to detach it from the door panel. Arrows indicate lifting direction.

Step 8: Remove window switch panel

Description: Carefully pry up the window switch panel to access the connectors beneath.

Step 9: Disconnect the connector

Description: Disconnect the electrical connector(s) associated with the window switch panel.

Step 10: Unscrew the two screws

Description: Use a PH2 screwdriver to remove the two screws securing the main door panel, often found near the window switch or armrest area.

Step 11: Pull the door towards you

Description: With screws removed, gently pull the bottom edge of the door panel away from the door frame. Arrows indicate pulling direction.

Step 12: Lift up the door

Description: Once clips are released, lift the entire door panel upwards to detach it from the door frame. Arrows indicate lifting direction.

Step 13: Disconnect the connector

Description: Disconnect the main electrical harness connector from the door panel.

Step 14: Door panel removed

Description: The interior door panel has been successfully removed, exposing the speaker mounting area.

Step 15: Drill out the OEM speaker

Description: Use a 5mm drill bit to drill out the rivets or mounting points securing the factory speaker. Circles indicate drilling locations.

Step 16: Connect speaker harness

Description: Connect the provided speaker harness adapter to the vehicle's wiring connector.

Step 17: Rivet the speaker in place

Description: Position the new Phoenix Gold speaker and secure it using the provided rivets and a rivet tool. Circles indicate riveting locations.

Step 18: Connect the speaker connector

Description: Connect the speaker harness adapter to the new Phoenix Gold speaker.

Step 19: Reassemble the door in reverse

Description: Reattach the door panel by reversing the removal steps, ensuring all clips and screws are secured.

Step 20: Remove OEM tweeter

Description: Carefully remove the original tweeter from its mounting location in the door or A-pillar.

Step 21: OEM tweeter removed

Description: The factory tweeter has been successfully removed.

Step 22: Mount the Phoenix Gold tweeter

Description: Install the new Phoenix Gold tweeter into the designated mounting location. The Phoenix Gold logo is visible on the tweeter.

Step 23: Connect tweeter speaker harness

Description: Connect the tweeter's wiring harness to the new Phoenix Gold tweeter.

Step 24: Mount back the tweeter panel

Description: Reinstall the tweeter panel onto the door or A-pillar, ensuring it is securely attached.
