Installation Tools Required

Vehicle used for installation: BMW 3-Series 2018 (F30) Basic Sound System

*Some differences may occur between different car and year models.

Tools required: 1x T50 Ratchet Shaft ?

1. Unscrew the front seat bolts. The bolts are indicated by red circles in the image.

2. Close-up on the bolt. The bolt head is visible.

3. Unscrew the two bolts on the back of the seat. These bolts are also indicated by red circles.

4. Tilt the chair back to access the area underneath.

Tools required: 1x T20 Screwdriver ?

5. Unscrew the woofer grill. Four screws, indicated by red circles, secure the grill.

6. The OEM Woofer is shown. It has the part number 6513 9210147-06 printed on it.

7. Remove the threshold by pulling it upwards. Red arrows indicate the direction of pull.

8. The threshold is now removed.

Tools required: 1x 10mm Wrench / Socket ?

9. Lift up the carpet to reveal the speaker assembly.

10. Unscrew the two bolts holding the speaker assembly. These are indicated by red circles.

11. The bolts are now unscrewed.

12. Loosen the cable clips by pulling them. Red circles indicate the clips.

Tools required: 1x Pry Tool [pry tool]

13. Disconnect the speaker connector. The connector is indicated by a red circle.

14. Remove the woofer from its mounting location.

15. Remove the woofer from the plastic enclosure.

16. Use a lot of force to remove the woofer from the enclosure.

Tools required: 1x Drill 3mm ड्रिल, 1x PH2 Screwdriver ?

17. Pull the woofer up all the way around to detach it.

18. The woofer is now removed from the enclosure.

19. Drill holes for the new woofer. Four holes are indicated by red circles.

20. Screw the new woofer in place. The mounting points are indicated by red circles.

Tools required: 1x 10mm Wrench / Socket ?, 1x T50 Ratchet Shaft ?

21. Mount the new woofer in the car.

22. Screw it in place using the appropriate bolts.

23. The woofer is now screwed in place.

24. Connect the speaker connector. The connector is indicated by a red circle.

Tools required: 1x T50 Ratchet Shaft ?, 1x T20 Screwdriver ?

25. Screw back the woofer grill.

26. Put the chair back down. Red arrows indicate the direction.

27. Screw back the four chair bolts. The bolts are indicated by red circles.

28. Installation is now complete.
