Component Kit Wiring Diagrams
The following describes the typical wiring configurations for the component speaker kits, illustrating how the different speaker elements and filters are connected.
ZX65CS - ZX65C (Woofer) + ZX1TC (Tweeter)
This 2-way system connects a 6.5" woofer (ZX65C) with a 1" tweeter (ZX1TC). A low-pass filter is used for the woofer, and a high-pass filter for the tweeter. The crossover point is 4000Hz for both.
Diagram Description: A visual representation shows the ZX65C woofer connected via a 4000Hz low-pass filter, and the ZX1TC tweeter connected via a 4000Hz high-pass filter. Two such configurations are depicted, likely for left and right channels. The asterisk (*) symbol indicates that wires used to adjust tweeter level are present; disconnected means -2dB attenuation, and connected means 0dB attenuation.
ZX653CS - ZX65C (Woofer) + ZX35C (Midrange) + ZX1TC (Tweeter)
This 3-way system connects a 6.5" woofer (ZX65C), a 3.5" midrange (ZX35C), and a 1" tweeter (ZX1TC). The crossover points are 350Hz for the woofer to midrange transition and 4000Hz for the midrange to tweeter transition.
Diagram Description: A visual representation shows the ZX65C woofer connected via a 350Hz low-pass filter, the ZX35C midrange connected via a 350Hz-4000Hz band-pass filter, and the ZX1TC tweeter connected via a 4000Hz high-pass filter. Multiple instances of this configuration are shown, likely for left and right channels. The asterisk (*) symbol indicates that wires used to adjust tweeter level are present; disconnected means -2dB attenuation, and connected means 0dB attenuation.
