Product Information
The Portkeys HS8 is a high-brightness monitor designed for professional video production, featuring 3G-SDI and 4K HDMI connectivity.
Physical Dimensions: The monitor measures 208mm in width, 133.7mm in height, and 50.5mm in depth. It features an 8-inch screen.
Mounting: Equipped with a 100x100mm VESA interface for mounting and multiple 1/4" screw holes on the top and sides for accessories.

UI Operation Introduction
The HS8 UI operations are performed using external keys. The primary control is the MENU button, which serves multiple functions.
Quick Operation
- [Swipe Left]: Navigate or adjust parameters.

External Button Operations
MENU Button:
- Select Functions/Parameters: Tap the MENU button to select functions or adjust parameters.
- Adjust Parameters: Tap the MENU button again, then slide left or right to adjust parameter values (e.g., Vol +/-).
- Enter/Exit Menus: Tap (or double-tap) the MENU button to enter a page or sub-menu. Tap the EXIT button to exit the current function selection or menu page.
- Switch Pages: Slide left and right on the MENU button to switch between pages or menu items.
EXIT Button:
- Exit Function/Menu: Tap the EXIT button to exit the current selection or menu page.
- Status Bar Toggle: On the main page, press the EXIT button to switch the status bar to an oscilloscope view. Press again to return to the initial page.
Operating Procedures Example (Backlight Adjustment)
- Connect the power supply and turn on the monitor.
- On the initial page, slide the MENU button left and right to adjust the backlight brightness.
Main Menu Navigation
- On the main page, click the MENU button to enter the main menu operation page.
- On the main page, slide the MENU button to select functions displayed at the bottom of the monitor.
- Press the MENU button to bring up a selected function.
- On the oscilloscope display page, slide the MENU button to adjust backlight brightness. Click the MENU button to bring up the main menu.
- Slide the MENU button to select a function, then long-press the MENU button for approximately 3 seconds to directly switch to the parameter adjustment page for that function.

2.1 Image Enhancement Tools
3D LUT
Apply screen color calibration LUTs and stylized LUTs. LUT files can be loaded from a USB drive.
- USB Scanning: Connect a USB drive with LUT files to the monitor's USB port. Tap "USB search", select the removable disk, and tap the LUT file to store it in the "User Store". Verify storage success.
- Reset LUT: Resets the LUT file applied to the image.
Peaking
Marks the focus position using specific colors. Helps ensure sharp focus.

Universal Software Upgrade Tutorial
Follow these steps to upgrade the monitor's firmware.
- Download the corresponding upgrade software zip package from the official Portkeys website (https://www.portkeys.com). Unzip the upgrade file of the main software, and then place the unzipped upgrade file into the root directory of the USB drive.
- Connect the monitor to the power supply and connect the USB drive with the upgrade file to the USB-A port of the monitor.
- After boot up, tap the [Menu Button], select the Monitor Settings page, select "Firmware", and enter the firmware page.
- Select "Software Upgrade (USB)".
- Select "Yes" to begin the upgrade process.
- Please wait a few minutes for the software upgrade process. The monitor will reboot automatically after the upgrade is completed. Do not power off during the upgrade process.
- After the upgrade is completed and the monitor reboots, navigate to Monitor Settings > Firmware > Version Info. to check whether the software upgrade was successful.
