The PortKeys PT5II is a professional camera monitor featuring a 5-inch display. It supports various video inputs and outputs, including HDMI, and offers advanced monitoring tools.

UI Operation Logic

Interact with the PT5II's interface by tapping the screen or swiping left or right. This allows you to cycle through the shortcut function interface and the image setting interface.

How to Get in Icon Functions

To activate a function, click its corresponding icon. Clicking the icon again will deactivate the function.

3D LUT Loading and Deleting

Loading 3D LUTs:

  1. Prepare a USB drive with your 3D LUT files and connect it to the monitor's USB port.
  2. Navigate to the 'Stored from USB' option to access the 3D LUT setting interface displayed at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Select the desired 3D LUT file and click it to apply.
  4. Alternatively, use the 'USB Looks' option to directly browse and load LUT files from the USB drive.

Deleting 3D LUTs:

  1. Select 'Stored from USB' and choose the 3D LUT file you wish to remove.
  2. Press and hold the file, then swipe upwards. Confirm the deletion by selecting 'Yes'.

Shortcut Function Icons

The monitor provides quick access to various functions via shortcut icons. These include:

  • Peaking: Highlights in-focus edges.
  • Rectangle Crop: Defines a specific image area.
  • Zebra: Indicates overexposed areas with striped patterns.
  • HDR: High Dynamic Range display modes.
  • 3D LUT: Apply color grading lookup tables.
  • False Color: Aids exposure assessment by mapping colors to luminance.
  • Check Field: Displays the image in monochrome (Red, Green, or Blue).
  • Luma Waveform: Visualizes the distribution of luminance values.
  • Guides: Overlays composition aids like grids or aspect ratios.
  • RGB Waveform: Visualizes the distribution of color channel luminance.
  • Cross Hair: A central marker for alignment.
  • Audio Meters: Displays audio input levels.
  • Grids: Grid overlays for framing and composition.
  • Luma Histogram: Shows the tonal distribution of the image.

Managing Shortcut Functions:

  • To configure a shortcut, long press its icon to reveal its settings at the bottom of the screen.
  • Hold an icon and slide it to access the shortcut functions menu for reordering or management.
  • Clicking an icon typically accesses its specific setting interface or returns to the previous menu.
  • The interface may have multiple pages of shortcut functions, indicated by navigation dots or arrows.

Firmware Upgrade

To update the monitor's firmware:

  1. Extract the firmware package files to the root directory of a compatible USB drive.
  2. Important: Ensure the device remains powered on throughout the upgrade process to prevent data corruption.
  3. The monitor supports USB drives formatted in FAT, FAT32, ExFAT, and NTFS. FAT32 is recommended.
  4. It is advised to use USB drives with a storage capacity of 16GB or less.
  5. Access the firmware upgrade interface by clicking the designated icon.
  6. Select 'Update (USB)' and confirm by choosing 'Yes' to initiate the upgrade.

Bottom Settings Area Icon

The bottom settings area provides quick access to specific functions:

  • HDMI Input Signal Resolution: Displays the current resolution of the HDMI input signal.
