Introduction
Thank you for choosing a Jensen product. This manual provides clear and easy-to-follow instructions for using all the features of your new Jensen receiver for maximum enjoyment.
Features of the Jensen AWM968 mobile audio system:

Precautions:
- Power Supply: Use only a 12-volt DC, negative ground battery system.
- Disc Mechanism: Avoid inserting foreign objects into the disc slot to prevent malfunction.
- Service: Do not attempt to disassemble or adjust. Contact a professional for assistance.
- Moisture: Do not expose to rain or moisture to reduce the risk of fire or electric shock.
- Cleaning: Clean the front with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use cleansers.
- Accessories: Use only recommended accessories to reduce the risk of fire or electric shock.
Caution: This mobile DVD player is a Class I laser product. Operate as instructed. Do not open covers or attempt self-repair.
Packing List:
The packing list includes the AWM968 unit, a remote control with battery, a 20-pin power/A-B speaker mating pigtail, and an AUX audio/video cable.

Installation
Read all instructions before installation. Professional installation by a reputable RV dealership is recommended.
Tools and Supplies Needed:
- Phillips screwdriver
- Wire cutters and strippers
- Tools to remove existing radio (e.g., screwdriver, socket wrench)
- Electrical tape
- Crimping tool
- Volt meter/test light
- 16 gauge wire for power connections
- 16-18 gauge speaker wire
Disconnecting the Battery:
Turn off the ignition and remove the negative (-) battery cable before installation to prevent a short circuit. Note: If the vehicle has an on-board computer, do not disconnect the battery cable to avoid losing computer memory. Exercise extra caution in such cases.
Selecting the Mounting Location:
Avoid locations exposed to heat, adjacent to heat-radiating equipment, poorly-ventilated, dusty, moist, or humid areas.
Preparing the Opening:
Use the provided mounting hole diagram to measure and cut the opening. Mount the unit using four M3x20mm screws. Ensure the area behind the mounting location is clear of wires, fuel, and brake lines.

Mounting the Radio:
Route power, speaker, and antenna cables through the hole and connect them to the unit as per the wiring diagram. Test operation after ensuring correct connections.

Basic Operation
- Power ?: Press the POWER button (3) to turn the unit on or enter standby mode.
- Volume Control/Audio Adjustment/Menu: Rotate the VOL/PUSH/ENTER control (24) to adjust volume. Press the AUDIO button (23) to cycle through Bass (BAS), Treble (TRE), Balance (BAL), and Fade (FAD) adjustments.
- Mute/Loudness: Press MUTE/LOUD (18) to silence audio. Press again to restore. Press and hold to toggle Loudness on/off.
- Audible Beep Confirmation: Press and hold AUDIO (23), then rotate VOL/PUSH/ENTER (24) to turn audible beeps ON or OFF.
- Liquid Crystal Display (LCD): The LCD panel (1) shows frequency, time, and functions. Adjust brightness using BRIGHT +/- buttons (2).
- Auxiliary Input Function: Press AUX (7) to access AUX 1 IN (rear) or AUX 2 IN (front). Connect portable audio devices using a 3.5mm cable.
- Auxiliary Input Connector: The front panel has an AUX A/V IN connector (21) for connecting external audio/video sources like game players or cameras using a 3.5mm A/V cable adapter.

USB Interface Connector
Connect USB devices to the USB interface (20) for playback. Press DVD/USB (8) to switch to USB mode. Note: USB does not support Apple device playback or charging.
Clock Display
Press T/F (25) to switch between clock time and playback time.
Clock Setup
Press and hold CLOCK HR (11) to set the hour, and CLOCK MIN (12) to set the minutes. Time saves automatically after five seconds.
Setting the Sleep Time
Press ALARM SET (17) and then press ALARM SET repeatedly to set sleep time (15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes).
Setting the Alarm
Press and hold ALARM SET (17). Clock digits will flash. Use HR (11) and MIN (12) buttons to set the alarm time. Press ALARM SET (17) to save. Press ALARM ON/OFF (16) to enable/disable the alarm.
Speaker Output
Use the A SPEAKER, B SPEAKER, and C SPEAKER buttons (22) to control speaker output for each zone.
Reset
Use a ballpoint pen or similar object to press the reset button (4) for initial installation, if buttons malfunction, or if an error symbol appears.
AM/FM Tuner Operation
- Selecting a Band: Press FM/AM (6) to switch between AM1, AM2, FM1, FM2, and FM3 bands.
- Tuning/Preset Stations:
- Manual Tuning: Use TUNE/SEEK/TRACK >>| (13) to tune up, and |<< (14) to tune down.
- Seek Tuning: Press and hold TUNE/SEEK/TRACK >>| or |<< (13, 14) to automatically seek the next/previous strong station.
- Preset Stations: Store a station by pressing and holding a numbered preset button (1-6) for three seconds. Recall a station by pressing the desired preset button.
- Automatic Store/Preset Scan (AS/PS): Press and hold AS/PS (26) to automatically scan and store the six strongest stations. Briefly press AS/PS to scan through preset stations, playing each for five seconds.

CD Operation
- Inserting a CD: Insert label-side up into the disc slot (10).
- Ejecting a CD: Press EJECT (19) to stop play and eject.
- Pausing Playback: Press 2/|| (28) to pause or resume.
- Stopping Playback: Press 5/ (31) to stop. Press 2/|| (28) to resume. Press 5/ twice for full stop.
- Track Select: Use TUNE/SEEK/TRACK >>| (13) or |<< (14) to advance tracks. Press and hold for fast forward/reverse.
- Repeat (RPT): Press 6/RPT (32) to cycle through REP ONE, REP ALL, or REP OFF.
- Random Shuffle (RDM): Press 4/RDM (30) to play tracks in random order (RDM ON/OFF).
- Programmed Playback: Use the PROG button (8) on the remote to access the programming screen. Use cursor buttons (16) and number buttons to select tracks. Press >/|| (18) or highlight PLAY and press ENTER (5) to start. Use CLEAR to delete the list.
- Remote Control Direct Track Entry: Use the remote's number pad (10) to enter track numbers. For two-digit tracks, use 10+ followed by the second digit.
- GOTO Direct Track/Chapter Access: Use GOTO (26) on the remote, enter a 3-digit track number, and press ENTER (5).

CD Playback Information:
The display shows track number (e.g., TRK 1/18), repeat status (X, 1, A), and playback time (elapsed/remaining).
DVD/VCD Operation
- Inserting a Disc: Insert label-side up into the disc slot (10). Press DVD/USB (8) to switch sources.
- Ejecting a DVD: Press EJECT (19).
- Pausing Playback: Press 2/|| (28).
- Stopping Playback: Press 5/ (31) for STOP.
- Track Select: Use TUNE/SEEK/TRACK >>| (13) or |<< (14).
- Enter/Select: Use VOL/PUSH/ENTER (24) to select menu options.
- Language Selection: Press 6/RPT (32) to change DVD audio language.
- Fast Forward/Reverse: Press and hold TUNE/SEEK/TRACK >>| or |<< (13, 14) or use remote buttons >>/<< (17). Press 2/|| (28) to resume.
- Repeat Chapter/Title: Press 6/RPT (32) or RPT (21) on remote to select REP 1, REP ALL, or REP OFF for VCD/DVD.
- Programmed Playback: Use PROG (8) on remote, cursor (16), and number buttons to program playback order. Press >/|| (18) or PLAY to start.
- DVD Playback Features: Remote buttons LANG, SUBTITLE, ANGLE, ZOOM allow selection of alternate audio/subtitle languages, viewing angles, and zoom levels.

DVD Playback Information:
The display shows title/chapter progress (e.g., TT 5/8, CH 2/16), audio language (e.g., 1/5 ENG, 5.1 CH), subtitle language (e.g., 1/4 ENG), and angle information. Playback time (elapsed/remaining) is also shown.
MP3/USB Operation
- MP3 Monitor Display: Shows file list and playback information.
- Insert/Eject Disc: Insert CD label-side up into slot (10). Press EJECT (19) to eject.
- Insert/Remove USB Device: Connect USB device to connector (20). Press DVD/USB (8) to access USB mode. To remove, change mode first.
- Play/Pause: Press 2/|| (28).
- Track Select: Use TUNE/SEEK/TRACK >>| (13) or |<< (14) to select previous/next file.
- Folder Up/Down: Press and hold 6/RPT (32) for FOLDER UP. Press and hold 5/ (31) for FOLDER DN.
- Repeat (RPT): Press 6/RPT (32) to select REP 1, REP DIR, REP ALL, or OFF.
- Random Shuffle (RDM): Press 4/RDM (30) for random playback (RDM ON/OFF).
- Fast Forward/Reverse: Press and hold TUNE/SEEK/TRACK >>| or |<< (13, 14) or remote buttons >>/<< (17). Press 2/|| (28) to resume.
- Programmed Playback: Use PROG (8) on remote, cursor (16), and number buttons to program playback order. Press >/|| (18) or PLAY to start.

MP3 Playback Information:
The display shows track progress (e.g., CDrom TRK 9/150), repeat status (X, 1, D), and playback time.
Bluetooth Operation
- Bluetooth Menu Options: Press 5/ (Bluetooth button) to enter Bluetooth mode. Press again to view paired devices. Rotate VOL/PUSH/ENTER (24) to select options like connect/disconnect, lock/unlock, or delete.
- Pairing a Bluetooth Device: Ensure the device is on and ready. Press and hold 5/ (Bluetooth button) to initiate pairing. The AWM968 becomes discoverable. On your phone, select AWM968 and enter password (0000) if prompted. "PAIR OK" will display upon success.
- About Bluetooth Technology: Bluetooth is a short-range wireless technology for device connectivity.
- Answering a Call: BT AUDIO pauses when a call is answered. It may resume automatically or require pressing play.
- BT Audio (A2DP): Press 5/ (Bluetooth button) to access BT Audio for streaming music from a connected phone.
- Selecting Tracks: Use TUNE/SEEK/TRACK >>| (13) or |<< (14), or 1|<< (27) and 3>>| (29) buttons to select tracks.

Pausing Playback:
Press 2/|| (28) to pause BT AUDIO playback. Press again to resume. If another mode is selected, press 5/ to return to BT mode.
Note: If a Bluetooth device disconnects, the unit will search for it when power is restored.

The remote control provides access to all functions of the AWM968.

Setup Menu
Press the SETUP button (11) on the remote control to access the SETUP menu and adjust system settings.
System Setup:
Controls TV System (AUTO, NTSC, PAL), Screen Saver, TV Type (4:3, 16:9), Password, Rating (parental control), and Default settings.
Language Setup:
Allows selection of OSD Language, Audio Language, Subtitle Language, and Menu Language from various options including English, French, German, Spanish, etc.
Audio Setup:
Controls Audio Out format (SPDIF/OFF, SPDIF/RAW, SPDIF/PCM) and Audio Key.
