Safety Precautions

To prevent personal injury or damage to vehicles and/or the scanning tool, please read this user manual first and observe the following safety precautions when working on a vehicle:

• Always perform vehicle testing in a safe environment.
• Do not attempt to operate or observe the tool while driving. Operating or observing the tool distracts the driver and may cause a fatal accident.
• Use eye protection that complies with ANSI standards.
• Work with the vehicle in a well-ventilated workspace: Exhaust fumes are poisonous.
• Set the transmission to PARK (for automatic transmission) or NEUTRAL (for manual transmission) and ensure the parking brake is engaged.
• Keep the scanning tool dry, clean, and free from oil/water or grease. If necessary, clean the exterior of the scanning tool with a mild detergent on a clean cloth.
• Tip: When using the product, plug it into the socket before starting the vehicle.

1. Appearance and Button Description

The Autophix DM5700 scanner features the following components:

• 1. LCD DISPLAY: Displays test results. A backlit, 3.5" color TFT display.
• 2. [OK] BUTTON: Executes the selected option and usually proceeds to the next screen.
• 3. [ESC] BUTTON: Exits the current screen and generally returns to the previous screen.
• 4. [LEFT] SCROLL BUTTON: In menu mode, navigates left through menus and submenus. When scrolling through data interfaces, it allows you to go to the last screen.
• 5. [RIGHT] SCROLL BUTTON: In menu mode, navigates right through menu items and submenus. When scrolling through data interfaces, it allows you to go to the next screen.
• 6. [UP] SCROLL BUTTON: In menu mode, navigates up through menu items and submenus. When loading data that spans multiple screens, scrolling up displays the previous screen for more data.
• 7. [DOWN] SCROLL BUTTON: In menu mode, navigates down through menu items and submenus. When loading data that spans multiple screens, scrolling down displays the next screen for more data.
• 8. OBD-16PIN CONNECTOR: Connects the scanning tool to the vehicle's Data Link Connector (DLC).
• 9. [F1] FUNCTION BUTTON: A function button that corresponds to on-screen prompts for executing special commands or for quick access to the most frequently used applications or functions.

1. Diagnostics

Access to the diagnostic interface is divided into three regions: Europe, USA, and Asia, based on the vehicle's country of origin.

Brands in the European region include, but are not limited to:

Benz, Smart, Sprinter, Maybach, BMW, Mini, Rolls-Royce, VW, Audi, Škoda, Seat, Bentley, Lamborghini, Bugatti, VW Commercial, Opel, Vauxhall, Volvo, Land Rover, Jaguar, Peugeot, Citroen, DS, Renault, Dacia, Porsche, Ford(EU).

Brands in the USA include, but are not limited to:

Ford(US), Lincoln, Mercury, GM, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Holden (2010-), Daewoo(2009-2015), Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, RAM.

Brands in the Asian region include, but are not limited to:

Toyota, Lexus, Scion, Honda, Acura, Nissan, Infiniti, Hyundai, KIA, Samsung.

2. OBDII

The DM5700 works with most American, European, and Asian vehicles compatible with OBD II from 1996 onwards. The OBDII/EOBD menu provides access to all OBD service modes, in compliance with ISO 9141-2, ISO 14230-4, and SAE J1850 standards.

After selecting the OBDII/EOBD application on the home screen, the scanner automatically detects the communication protocol. Once a connection is established, a menu displays all available tests for the identified vehicle. Menu options typically include:

• Read Codes
• Clear Codes
• I/M Readiness
• Live Data
• Freeze Frame Data
• 02 Sensor Test
• On-Board Monitor Test
• Component Test
• Vehicle Information

NOTE: Not all functions are available for all vehicles. Available options may vary depending on the year, mode, and make of the vehicle. If an option is not applicable to the tested vehicle, the message "Not supported the mode" will be displayed.

POZNÁMKA: When the product leaves the factory, only one model is installed. Subsequent modes are subject to customer purchase. If you need more modes, you must register and activate an account to pay for more brand-specific diagnostic software.

3. BAT

This function is used to read battery voltage in real-time. In the main menu, select the BAT menu and press the OK button. The screen will display the interface as shown below:

4. Settings

Selecting the Settings option displays a menu with available service options. The menu options typically include the following items:

• Language
• Beeper
• Unit of measure
• Background

4.1 Language

Selecting a language opens a screen that allows you to choose the system language. Available languages include Deutsch, English, Español, and Français.

4.2 Beeper

Selecting the Beeper option opens a dialog box that allows you to turn the audible signal on or off.

4.3 Unit of measure

Set the measurement to metric or imperial.

4.4 Background

Day/night mode, switch according to the current situation.

4.5 Device Information

Selecting the Device Information option displays the following interface:

• Software Version: 01.00.000
• Library Version: 01.18.000
• Serial Number: [Serial Number displayed]

5. Upgrade

To update the software, follow the steps below:

1. Download the upgrade tool installation file setup.exe from the company's official website.
2. After successful installation, connect the computer with a Type-C cable and launch the upgrade tool by double-clicking its shortcut icon.
3. For the first-time use of the device, the user must first register an account, fill in the email address, set a login password, and other information.
4. After successful account registration, log in.
5. Upon successful login, the upgrade tool will enter the activation page by default, and the user only needs to click the [Activate] button.
6. After successful activation of the device, the next time the device is connected to the update tool, the Download Center page will be displayed directly after login.
7. This product also supports expansion with additional models. You can purchase the desired special automotive software at a very favorable price in the [Purchase Center] to expand its functions. After successful purchase, you can update the purchased model software on the [Download Center] page.

The Autophix Assist software interface is shown, indicating options like Download Center, Purchase Center, Device Activation, etc.
