Rear Panel

Speaker Input

Speaker inputs are provided via a pair of 4-pole twist lock connectors (Neutrik speakON or compatible), wired in parallel. The connectors utilize pins 1+ and 1- for input, with the second connector available for loop-through connection.

Handle

A single recessed carry handle is fitted to the speaker cabinet.

Mounting

Wall Mount Brackets

Several wall mount options are available for the XDS speaker range. The wall mount U brackets allow for speaker mounting in either horizontal or vertical orientation. These brackets are supplied with enclosure mounting plates to replace the standard pole mount and blank plate fitted to the speakers. The XDSWMB wall mount bracket facilitates vertical installation with a wide range of angular adjustment in both horizontal and vertical axes.

U Brackets Dimensions

Diagrams show U brackets with dimensions for mounting. For XDS8, the bracket has mounting holes spaced at 330 mm (13.0") horizontally and 140 mm (5.5") vertically. For XDS10, the horizontal spacing is 400 mm (15.8") and vertical is 190 mm (7.5"). For XDS12, the horizontal spacing is 515 mm (20.3") and vertical is 205 mm (8.1").

Subwoofer Mounting

The XDS212 subwoofer is designed for freestanding floor-mounted installation. It includes a top-mounted 35 mm pole mount boot suitable for satellite mounting via the ATC310 pole mount.

Suspending with Eyebolts

The XDS range of speakers offers multiple secured mounting points for use with M10 eye bolts. When suspending an XDS8, XDS10, or XDS12 loudspeaker, the two mounting points towards the front of the cabinet should be used, with a third point available to angle the enclosure as needed. All XDS eyebolt fittings are M10. M10 eye bolts must have a minimum of 20 mm usable thread.

General Mounting Considerations

Mounting a permanently installed speaker can be dangerous and should only be undertaken by a qualified professional with the required experience. Walls and mounting surfaces must be capable of securely supporting the speaker and bracketry. All fixings must be safely attached to the speaker cabinet and the mounting surface, and fitted in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and specifications.
