Introduction
The FLEX series of wall mount speakers offers high-quality audio reproduction and outstanding sonic performance, combined with a contemporary and stylish design. Featuring aluminum grilles and an IP65 rating, these speakers are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
The FLEX series is ideal for speech or background music applications. Models are available in 15, 30, and 50 Watt variants, in black or white, and are supplied with pan and tilt wall brackets. Australian Monitor's FLEX series provides exceptional versatility, performance, and value.
Front Panel
The front panel of the FLEX series speakers includes the following components:
- 1. Hi Frequency Driver: A 1-inch tweeter is used across all FLEX models (FLEX15, FLEX30, FLEX50).
- 2. Low Frequency Driver: The woofer sizes vary by model: FLEX15 features a 4-inch woofer, FLEX30 uses a 5 1/4-inch woofer, and FLEX50 is equipped with a 6 1/2-inch woofer.
- 3. Grille: An aluminum powder-coated grille is a standard feature on all FLEX models.
Rear Panel
The rear panel of the FLEX series speakers features:
- 1. Voltage Tap Select Switch: This switch allows selection of the desired 100V transformer tap or an 8 Ohm low impedance transformer bypass option using a screwdriver.
- 2. Speaker Input: Spring post terminals, color-coded for polarity (red for positive '+', black for negative '-'), are used for speaker connection. Ensure multiple speakers are wired with the same polarity.
- 3. Mounting Point: The included pan and tilt wall mount brackets attach to these points.
Mounting
WARNING: When mounting FLEX speakers, consider the following safety issues:
- Permanent speaker installation can be dangerous if not performed by a qualified professional with relevant experience.
- Walls and mounting surfaces must be capable of securely supporting the speaker and bracketry.
- All fixings must be securely attached to the speaker cabinet and mounting surface, following manufacturer's instructions and specifications.
Wall Mount Brackets:
The FLEX speakers are supplied with wall mount brackets. The FLEX15, FLEX30, and FLEX50 models utilize a U-bracket speaker mount that attaches to a separate wall mounting plate.
Installation Steps:
- Secure the wall mounting plate to a wall or ceiling using suitable fasteners.
- Fasten the U-bracket to the wall mounting plate using the provided screws.
- Install the speaker onto the U-bracket using the provided plastic screw fasteners.
