Installation Diagram
The diagram shows the wiring connections between the factory vehicle harness, the aftermarket radio, and the Crux SWRVW-52B module. Key connections include:
- Vehicle Harness to Module: Color-coded wires from the vehicle harness (e.g., Yellow for +12V Constant, Red for +12V ACC, Black for Ground) connect to corresponding ports on the SWRVW-52B module.
- Module to Aftermarket Radio: The 12-pin connector from the module connects to the aftermarket radio's main harness.
- SWC Cables: 3.5MM SWC Cables (Option A or B) are used to connect the module to the aftermarket radio's SWC wire or 3.5mm port. The diagram specifies using the correct 3.5MM to 4-Pin cable for the radio brand and provides options for connecting to the SWC wire or a 3.5mm port. It also notes that the mini USB port is not used.
- Backup Camera Input: A yellow RCA connector is provided for the backup camera input.
Setting the Aftermarket Radio Brand
This step is performed on the SWRVW-52B Module with the key in the off position. Set the DIP switches to correspond with the aftermarket radio brand being installed. A table lists various radio brands (Atoto, Dual, Fahrenheit, Jensen, Pioneer, Power Acoustik, Soundstream, Blaupunkt, Alpine, Clarion, Kenwood, JVC, Boss, Sony) and the required DIP switch settings (ON/OFF for switches 1, 2, and 3).
Note: For certain brands (Atoto, Blaupunkt, Dual, Farenheit, Power Acoustik, Soundstream, and most off-brand radios), consult the aftermarket radio's manual to see if SWC buttons need to be programmed.
4-Pin SWC Cable Usage
Use the appropriate 3.5MM to 4-Pin SWC cable for the aftermarket radio. Option A is for Alpine and Clarion. Option B is for Atoto, Blaupunkt, Boss, Dual, Farenheit, Jensen, Power Acoustik, Pioneer, Sony, Soundstream, and most off-brand radios, utilizing the Blue/Yellow wire.
Note: Cap or insulate the 3.5mm plug or Blue/Yellow wire if not being used.
For aftermarket radios with separate wires for SWC connections, cut off the 3.5mm plug on the Crux SWC Cable and connect the wires as follows:
- RED wire to SWC Key 1
- WHITE wire to SWC Key 2
- SHIELD to SWC Ground
If a radio only has SWC1 and SWC2 connections, the shield does not need to be connected.
