ACTIVATE 0 seconds During connection process
INFORMATION 15 seconds Indication when communication with the dedicated app occurred
CHECK 30 seconds Indication of an error of an iiidea
RECONNECT 45 seconds Failed pairing/accidental disconnection

Connection indication occurs only when the crown is in position 0. The watch maintains correct time and calendar during indication. "INFORMATION" may notify app updates.

Connectable Range

The connectable distance is up to about 10 meters (33 feet). This range can be reduced by obstacles. Avoid blocking the watch with your body.

Canceling the Connection Indication

The second hand will not indicate seconds until connection indication is canceled. This may be required for some operations.

Available options include:

Removing the Data Stored in the Dedicated App

Data stored in the cloud and app can be removed via the app's setting screen > [Account setting] > [Data deleting]. See "Remove the data stored in the watch" for watch data removal.

After turning off flight mode: The connection function becomes available. Execute connection operation when needed. Check and adjust time/calendar if required.

Charging Your Watch

This watch has a solar cell under the dial that charges a built-in rechargeable cell using light (direct sunlight or fluorescent lamps).

For optimal performance:

[CAUTION] Recharging Precautions:

When the Watch Reaches a Low Charge State (Insufficient Charge Warning Function)

When power reserve is low, the second hand moves once every two seconds. Charge the watch immediately. When sufficiently charged, the second hand returns to normal movement. If not charged for 18 days or longer after the warning starts, the watch will stop.

During the insufficient charge warning state, time and date are indicated correctly.

Charging Time by Environment

Approximate charging times when continuously exposed to light:

Environment Outdoors (sunny) Outdoors (cloudy) Interior lighting (30W fluorescent lamp, 20cm/7-7/8 inches away) Interior lighting
Illuminance (lx) 100,000 10,000 3,000 500
To work for one day 6 minutes 19 minutes 1.5 hours 6.5 hours
To start working normally when the cell is discharged 3 hours 12 hours 40 hours -
To become fully charged when the cell is discharged 25 hours 60 hours - -

Direct sunlight is recommended for charging. Fluorescent or interior lighting may not provide sufficient illumination.

After Charged Fully, the Watch Runs Without Additional Charging

Condition Duration
Using with a smartphone 7 months*
Using with no smartphones About 1.0 year
Power save function kept activated About 1.1 years

* See "Specifications" for "Standard use with the smartphone" conditions.

Cautions When Connected with a Smartphone

Frequent connection and use of iiideas consume significant power. Charge the watch frequently. Ensure your smartphone is also adequately charged.

Power Save Function

The second hand stops at 0 seconds if the dial is not exposed to light for 30 minutes. Automatic time reception is not active during power save. The function is not activated when the crown is not at position 0.

After a long period in power save mode, check and adjust the time and calendar if necessary.

Adjusting the Time and Calendar Manually

If connected, connection with the smartphone is disconnected.

  1. Pull the crown out to position 2. The second hand points 15 seconds.
  2. Press and hold the upper right button Ⓑ for 2 seconds. The second hand points 0 seconds. Release the button.
  3. Press the lower right button Ⓐ to select the target to correct: Minute → Hour → Date → Year/Month. The hands/indications move slightly to show they are adjustable.
  4. Rotate the crown to adjust the selected hand/indication. Note AM/PM for date changes. The function hand moves with the date. Rapid rotation allows continuous movement; rotate in either direction to stop. Refer to "Month and year indications" for setting year/month.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for other adjustments.
  6. Push the crown in to position 0 to finish, aligning with a reliable time source.

Month and Year Indications

Year Years since leap year Second hand position
2016, 2020, 2024, 2028, 2032 0 (Leap year) Hour marker

2019, 2023, 2027, 2031, 2035 3 3rd min. marker

Example: For July 2019, 2019 is 3 years since leap year, so set the second hand to the 3rd minute marker in the July zone.

Troubleshooting

Checking and Correcting the Reference Position

Check and adjust the reference position via the dedicated app: [Help] > [Troubleshooting] > [Time and/or date is incorrect].

If time/calendar is incorrect even after proper reception, check the reference position. If hands/indications do not reflect the correct position, accuracy will be affected.

Steps to Check/Correct:

  1. Pull the crown out to position 2. The second hand points 15 seconds.
  2. Press and hold the lower right button Ⓐ for 4 seconds or more. The hands/indications will move to their stored reference positions. Release the button when movement starts.

  4. Press and release the lower right button Ⓐ to start adjustment.
  5. Press and release the lower right button Ⓐ repeatedly to select the hand/indication to correct: Function hand/date → Hour hand → Minute hand → Second hand.
  6. Rotate the crown to adjust the selected hand/indication. The function hand and date move synchronously. Rapid rotation allows continuous movement; rotate in either direction to stop.
  7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 as needed.
  8. Push the crown in to position 0.
  9. Press and release the lower right button Ⓐ to finish.

Eco-Drive Watch Handling Precautions

Always Make Sure to Recharge Frequently

For optimal performance, keep the watch fully charged. Long sleeves can inhibit light transmission, potentially causing the watch to lose charge; supplemental charging may be necessary. When not wearing the watch, place it in a bright location.

[CAUTION] Recharging Precautions:

Replacement of Rechargeable Cell

This watch uses a special rechargeable cell that does not require periodic replacement. However, power consumption may increase over years due to component wear, potentially depleting stored power faster.

[WARNING] Handling of Rechargeable Cell:

[WARNING] Use Only the Specified Battery:

Never use a battery other than the specified rechargeable cell. Using another type of battery, even if the watch structure prevents operation, could lead to overcharging, battery rupture, watch damage, and injury. Always use the designated rechargeable cell for replacement.

Water Resistance

[WARNING] Water Resistance:

Refer to the watch dial and/or case back for water resistance indication (e.g., WATER RESIST xx bar or W.R. xx bar). The chart below provides examples of use.

Water-related Use

Name Specification Water-related use

When Luminous Paint is Used for Your Watch

The luminous paint on the dial and hands helps read time in the dark by storing light. It is free from radioactive or harmful materials. The light emission gradually weakens over time. Duration of glow varies with light source, exposure time, and paint amount. It may not glow or may dissipate quickly if light exposure was insufficient.
