Product Warranty
Your new Peiko world earphones come with a one-year limited warranty. Peiko Science and Technology Co.Ltd will repair or replace this product if, due to defective parts, it does not perform as specified. This warranty covers only repair or replacement of the product itself. This warranty is extended to the original consumer only. In no event does this warranty extend to instances where the product is damaged through uses for which it is not intended, misuse, mishandling, removal and/or reinstallation, neglect, accident or tampering. In no event shall Peiko Science and Technology Co.Ltd be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or loss of profits arising out of or related to this product, or the performance or breach thereof, even if Peiko Science and Technology Co.Ltd has been advised of the possibility thereof. Peiko Science and Technology Co.Ltd's refund for customer, if any, shall in no event exceed the total of the purchase price of the item. Some states do not permit the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages; therefore, sections of the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. Thank you for purchasing the Peiko world Bluetooth Voice Language Translator. Our voice language translator is a powerful translation device which can instantly translate what you say in real time and play it back to locals in their native language. They can then reply to you and what they say will instantly be translated back to your earphone. It is now easy to carry on a conversation in a language that you have never spoken.
How to Wear
The unit comes with 3 sizes of EarGels for an optimal user experience.
Try each of the Ear Gel sizes to pick the one that fits best for you.
The best fit should feel tight and secure in your ear without causing discomfort.
Earphone Charging
It is recommended to fully charge the battery prior to first time use. It usually takes around 2 hours for the earphone to fully charge. Plug the supplied USB Cable into the earphone charging port and connect the other end of the cable to a USB port or USB wall Charger.
During charging, the LED Status Light will illuminate RED which indicates that the unit is charging. When charging is completed the LED will turn OFF.

Language App Requirements
To operate properly, our Byteengine Translator App requires a device running the latest versions of iOS or Android. Since our translation app is always learning and adding new words, all translations are done in real time, which requires you to have an active Internet Data Plan or WiFi Connection in order for the app to work.
Language Translator App Functions
Voice Translation Mode
This translation mode is perfect for traveling. You can speak into your earphone and the words will be translated both verbally and visually to your device screen. The person can then tap on the device to speak in their language and it will automatically be verbally translated to your earphone, while also being visually displayed on the device.
How to talk: Press the button as indicated in the picture, and speak. Your phone will automatically translate what you have spoken to the target language. (In this case, Chinese to English. The translated English will be played out through the speaker.)
The translations will be displayed here.
Press the microphone in the grey area when you want the other side to speak. The translated speech will be played out via the earphone.
Group Translation Mode
This mode allows multiple users to easily chat with each other in a group setting while each speaking their own language. Using the App, simply set up a group translation conversation, invite people and start talking. Whether it's a meeting, dinner, conference, or even from across the world, you can communicate with a group of people in real-time, each in their own language.
Starting a group translation: Press the group translation and enter your name. Choose your own language. For example (when you choose Chinese, whatever others speak will be translated into Chinese and played out for you.)
Image Translation Mode
This mode will help you to translate the text inside the image. You can use it to easily read menus, road signs, etc. in other languages.
Background Translation Mode
This mode allows the user to enter text by voice on any app. To use the app, you only need to set the native language and the target language. You will be able to input your native language by voice and output the text in the target language.
Background Translation: Please tap on the background translation in the app to access the settings. You will see the page in the picture.
You can select your language and the language of the translation by tapping on the box above (position 1).
Position 2 is a sound switch that plays the translation through the headphones each time we translate; you can choose to turn it on or off.
Position 3 is the reverse translation switch, which allows you to switch the reverse translation function on or off.
iOS Instructions
Connecting via Bluetooth for Apple iOS Devices
Turn on the earphone by Long Pressing the Power Button until the LED fast flashes in BLUE.
Go into the Settings Menu > Bluetooth Menu. Make sure Bluetooth is toggled ON.
Go to "OTHER DEVICES" at the bottom of the Bluetooth Menu and look for "peiko world" in the list.
Tap 'peiko world' in the list to connect your unit to Bluetooth. Your unit should now be connected. Once connected, "peiko world" will appear under 'MY DEVICES' with the word "Connected" listed on the right side.
Downloading the Byteengine Translator Language Translator App
Using your device, find the App Store Icon and tap it to access the Apple App Store.
Once connected to the App Store, click on the search icon and in the search box type "Byteengine Translator" then tap search. Downloading the Byteengine Translator Language Translator App.
The "Byteengine Translator" should show up in the search results. Tap GET and follow the prompts to download the app to your device. Once completely downloaded, the Byteengine Translator app should appear as an icon on your device.
Getting Started
Ensure that your Peiko Translation earphone is switched on and connected to your device. Start the Byteengine Translator APP. A box will appear on the screen with this message. It indicates that the earphone is correctly connected to the application and is ready for translation. (If the box does not appear, check if your earphone is connected to your device via Bluetooth.)
Systems below iOS version 14.5
A notification will appear on your screen to alert you when you have the app running in the background. A hover window will not appear.
Example:
In the settings we have selected 'English to Chinese translation.' Now we open the SMS, we tap on Talk Button on the earphone and speak the language: 'I'm going fishing tomorrow, do you want to come with me?'
The background translation will automatically translate the Chinese for you and copy it to the text clipboard, so you can simply click and paste to complete the translation.
If you have not clicked on Turn Off Playback Sound, the translation will be played back to you. You can choose to turn this off in the background translation function of the Byteengine Translator app.
Samsung/Android Instructions
Connecting via Bluetooth for Samsung/Android Devices
Turn on the earphone by Long Pressing the Power Button until the LED fast flashes in BLUE.
Go into the Apps Menu > Settings Menu > Connections Menu > Bluetooth Menu, make sure Bluetooth is toggled ON.
Go to the 'Available Devices' in the Bluetooth menu, then look for 'peiko world' in the list. Please note, do not click on the 'Peiko world-App' Bluetooth option. If you can't find 'peiko world,' touch 'Scan' to rescan for BT devices.
Click on 'peiko world' in the list to connect your device to Bluetooth. Your device should now be connected.
After the connection, 'peiko world' will appear under 'Paired Devices.'
Your unit is now paired and ready to use.
Please note some Android device manufacturers use slightly varied methods for connecting devices to Bluetooth; consult your device Owner's Manual for specific instructions on connecting Bluetooth products.
Downloading the Language Translator App
Using your device, find the Play Store Icon and tap it to access the Google Play Store.
Once connected to the Google Play Store, click on the Google Play search icon and in the search box type 'Byteengine Translator' then tap search.
The 'Byteengine Translator' app should show up in the search results. Tap the Byteengine Translator Icon, on the next screen tap INSTALL to download the app to your device. Once completely downloaded, the Byteengine Translator app should appear as an icon under APPS menu on your device.

The feature is especially designed for brief translation in public occasion. When using it for the first time, please allow access to microphone and speech recognition.
In the voice translation, you can choose the language that you are speaking in the white area.
(Say, if you want to have the Chinese translated into English, do choose Chinese in the white area and select English in the grey area.)

Group Translation
This feature is specially designed for group translation. You can either join one or start a new one.
Starting a group translation: Press the group translation and enter your name. Choose your own language. For example (when you choose Chinese, whatever others speak will be translated into Chinese and played out for you.)
Press the 'speak and translate button' to speak.
Image Translation
Align the camera to what you want to translate.
Background Translation
Once you have set the language, please shrink the app in the background, please note that you are leaving the app running in the background, not closing it.
A notification will appear on your screen to alert you when you have the app running in the background.
Reverse Translation
Use this function to translate without closing the current application.
Open the background translator and let it run in the background; a hover button will appear on your phone's interface.
You can open the app you use and when you want to translate something, you just select and long press the content and wait a moment for the copy button to appear; you tap on the copy button. The background translation will then translate the content you have copied and present it in the hover window.
Select the content to be translated. Long press on the content. Tap on the copy button and then tap on the hover button.
Wait a moment and the translation will be displayed in the hover window. If you do not choose to turn off sound playback in the settings, the earphone will also play the translated content for you.

Off-Line Translation
You can choose to download a language. In airplane mode or without signal, the app can still translate with the downloaded language. (For some languages, only image translation or text translation is available when downloaded.)
Here you can select the language files you want to download. In some languages we support text translation and in others we support audio translation. You need to download the text file and the voice file separately. Only when both files are downloaded can you use it for offline voice translation.
