Empire Gaming ECL251 PC Case
This document provides information on the Empire Gaming ECL251 PC case, including its features, compatibility, and instructions for controlling its RGB lighting.
Product Features and Compatibility
- Mid-tower case compatible with E-ATX, ATX, Micro-ATX, and ITX motherboards.
- Includes 4 ARGB fans and an RGB controller hub.
- Supports 3-pin, 5-volt addressable RGB systems.
- Watercooling support for radiators up to 120mm, 240mm, 280mm, and 360mm.
- CPU cooler height clearance up to 155mm.
- GPU length clearance up to 420mm.
- Storage capacity: 2 x 3.5'' HDDs and 3 x 2.5'' SSDs.
RGB Lighting Control
The case features two modes for controlling the RGB lighting: Manual Mode and Motherboard Mode.
Manual Mode
In Manual Mode, the LED button on the front panel allows you to cycle through predefined RGB effects. To use this mode:
- Connect the cable labeled RESET SW (or LED SW) from the front panel LED button to the RESET SW port on the RGB hub.
- Press the LED button once to navigate through the available effects.
Motherboard Mode
By default, the hub operates in Manual Mode. To switch to Motherboard Mode:
- Ensure the DATA connector from the hub is connected to a 3-pin, 5-volt RGB header on your motherboard. Refer to your motherboard manual if needed.
- Install your motherboard's RGB management software (e.g., Aura Sync, Mystic Light, Gigabyte Fusion).
- To activate Motherboard Mode, press and hold the LED button on the front panel for 3 seconds.
- Once in Motherboard Mode, select your desired effects through the motherboard software for synchronization.
- To return to Manual Mode, press and hold the LED button for 1 second.
- To turn the backlighting completely on or off, press and hold the LED button for 5 seconds.
Hub Connections
The RGB hub has several ports for connecting fans and controlling lighting:
- LED (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6): RGB connectors for fans.
- LED (7, 8): 3-pin LED connectors.
- FAN (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6): Fan power connectors.
- DATA: For control and synchronization with the motherboard (Motherboard Mode).
- RESET SW / LED SW: For control and synchronization with the front panel LED button (Manual Mode).
- POWER: Connects to a SATA power connector from your power supply unit.
Important Note: Only use 3-pin, 5-volt connectors for RGB synchronization. Using incompatible connectors may damage the components.
A data cable is provided for motherboard synchronization.
