This guide details the installation of the X32-PHZ1A audio kit for the Can Am Maverick X3. It covers panel disassembly, dash speaker panel installation, and the JVC MR1 head unit installation.

- T25, T30, T40 torx driver
- #2 phillips screwdriver
- Air saw and safety equipment
- Drill and 1/8" and 1/4" drill bits

Installation Notes: Always disconnect the battery. Refer to the JVC manual for headunit instructions.

- 8, 10 & 13mm Socket Wrench

Panel and Dash Disassembly
Step A: Seat Removal
Illustration shows using a 13mm socket and wrench to remove the front (2) bolts and nuts, and an 18mm socket to remove the (2) rear nuts and seat belt nut. Repeat for the other seat.
Step B: Console Panel Removal
Illustration shows carefully unsnapping console panels by hand or with a panel removal tool.
Step C: Center Console Fasteners
Illustration shows unscrewing (2) T30 torx screws located on the center console panel under the dash. A panel tool is used to remove push pins on the passenger side.
Step D: Rear Cover Removal
Illustration shows carefully unsnapping the rear cover to expose the engine compartment.
Step E: Gas Cover Removal
Illustration shows removing the gas cover on the passenger side to expose a 10mm nut. Unscrew with a wrench and T30 torx driver.
Step E2: Dash Cover Fasteners
Illustration shows using a panel removal tool to unsnap (2) push clips on the driver and passenger side dash covers. Unscrew the (4) T30 screws on the passenger side and (7) T30 screws on the driver side.
Step F: Fender Well Panel Removal
Illustration shows removing the fender well panel using a T30 driver, requiring a 10mm socket for the screw near the headlight.
Step G: Fastener Clip Removal

Running Wire Harnesses
JVC MR1 Power Harness
Illustration shows a diagram of the vehicle interior. Connect the B-H2368 SSV to JVC adapter harness to the factory bus bar located in the center console beside the passenger seat.
Dash Speaker Panel Audio Cables
Illustration shows a diagram of the vehicle interior. Run the B-H2368 SSV to JVC adapter harness from the JVC radio to the B-H1909 front speaker harness and plug in the dash panel speakers.
Dash Kit Assembly
Step A: Base Plate Placement
Illustration shows the base plate set on the dash. Press the (4) drill guides onto the base plate.
Step B: Drilling Pilot Holes
Illustration shows using a 1/8" drill bit to drill the center of the drill guides to provide pilot holes. Limit speed and depth to avoid damaging wiring.
Step C: Enlarging Pilot Holes
Illustration shows the base plate set aside and the pilot holes being opened up with a 1/4" drill bit.
Step D: Tracing Outline
Illustration shows the base plate reset on the dash to trace the outline of the baseplate circle.
Step E: Cutting Circle
Illustration shows the traced circle being cut out. Limit speed and depth of the cutting device to avoid damaging wiring.
Step F: Securing Base Plate
Illustration shows placing (4) M6 T30 screws and washers into each drilled hole. Fasten from the bottom with a washer and M6 nut. Secure each screw with a 10mm wrench and T30 torx driver.
Step G: Securing Front of Base Plate
Illustration shows securing the front of the base plate with the provided (2) #6 x 1½" screws using a #2 phillips screwdriver.
Step H: Routing Harnesses
Illustration shows routing the MR1 power harness and 500.1 audio input and any other related accessories out of the cutout.
Step I: Placing DMR1

JVC MR1 Installation
Step J: Placing MR1 into DMR1
Illustration shows placing the MR1 into the DMR1. Feed slack wiring back into the dash cavity cutout for proper fitment.
Step K: Securing MR1
Illustration shows securing the MR1 with the (4) M3.5 screws provided. The top (2) screws thread into the DMR1; the lower (2) screws go through the DMR1 and into the base plate threads.
Step L: Securing DMR1 Backside

Step M: Centering Trim Ring
Illustration shows centering the trim ring on the MR1 and pressing down until the sides and corners click into place.
JVC MR1 Wiring Connection
Step A: Power and Ground Connection

Step B: Securing Wiring
Illustration shows zip-tying all wiring to the factory cables away from any moving parts.
