Running Wiring and Cables

  1. F. Prepare firewall: Unwrap tape and pull the rubber wire grommet out of the firewall.
  2. G. Route wiring: Starting from under the hood compartment, feed the connector of the power wire and B-H1151 rear harness female connector through the grommet into the dash cavity. Pull about 18 inches of the amp power wire and B-H1151 into the dash cavity (G1). Route the additional length of the power/ground wire (ring terminal end) and B-H1151 down the exterior of the firewall along the factory wiring (G2). Pull the power/ground wire through to the center of the vehicle to the battery compartment. DO NOT CONNECT TO THE BATTERY (G3). B-H1151 will be used later for cage mount speakers.

Amp Tray Installation

  1. A. Remove lower bolts: Remove the two 10mm bolts circled in pink.

  4. D. Mount amp tray: Place the amp tray into the mounting location by aligning the amp plate screw holes to the factory holes on the chassis.
  5. E. Secure amp tray: Secure the amp tray using the two 10mm factory bolts at the top, and two T-30 torx bolts at the bottom mounting locations.
  6. F. Mark pilot hole: Using a scribe or punch, mark the location of the needed pilot hole on the passenger side of the tray.
  7. G. Drill and secure: With the correct location marked, uninstall the amp tray and use a 13/64" drill bit to drill your pilot hole. Reinstall the amp tray and use the self-tapping screw in the drilled hole location.
  8. H. Connect amplifier inputs: Connect the amplifier “Front Input" to the Ride Command "Audio Amp 1" factory harness. Connect the amplifier “Rear Input” for rear speakers to "Audio Amp 2” factory harness.

Tools Needed for Installation: T-40 Torx Driver, #2 Phillips Screwdriver

Parts List:

  1. RZ4-F65 Enclosures (1 pair): Two black speaker pods designed to fit into vehicle kick panels, each with a Kicker speaker mounted inside.
  2. #14 Screws x4: Four screws for mounting the speaker pods.

Speaker Pod Routing:

  1. A. Remove factory screw: Starting at the driver side footwell, remove the factory T40 torx screw as shown. Save this screw for Step D.
  2. B. Position kick pod: Place the driver kick pod into location so that both vehicle screw bosses line up with kick pod brackets.
  3. C. Secure kick pod: Using two #14 screws, loosely secure the kick pod to the factory screw bosses.
  4. D. Bolt kick pod bracket: Re-use the factory T40 torx screw previously removed in Step A to loosely bolt through the lower kick pod bracket to the vehicle panel. Once all three screws are in place, go back and re-tighten.
  5. E. Connect speaker cable and secure: Connect the B-H1149 cable to the speaker pod and zip tie all cables to the frame.
  6. F. Connect speaker harness to amplifier: Connect the B-H1149 speaker harness to the 300.4 amplifier front output.
  7. G. Install passenger pod: Repeat Steps to install passenger kick pod.

Connecting Power & Ground Cable to Battery

  1. A1-A3. Fuse holder assembly: Remove the bottom cover of the fuse holder by extracting the 2 screws. Break off the right and left side tabs on the bottom cover. Extract both fuse holder screws. Attach both the Power Wire and Battery Terminal Cable to the fuse holder. Reattach the bottom cover.
