Fly in open areas, maintaining line of sight, and flying below 400 feet (120 meters). Avoid flying over or near obstacles, crowds, high voltage power lines, trees, airports, or bodies of water. Do not fly near strong electromagnetic sources (e.g., power lines, base stations) as this may affect the onboard compass. Do not use in adverse weather conditions such as rain, snow, fog, or strong wind. Stay away from rotating propellers and motors. Do not fly in No-Fly Zones.
Waste Lithium-polymer batteries must not be placed with household trash. Contact local environmental or waste agencies or the supplier for proper recycling.
The Holy Stone HS100 GPS drone package includes:
The drone features Propellers A (Clockwise) and B (Counter Clockwise), a Body Frame, a Cap, an HD Camera, and Landing Gear.
The drone battery has power indicators (High, Electricity, Low), a Micro USB Charging Port, and a Power Switch. Press the Power Switch briefly to turn on; hold for 2 seconds to turn off.
Tips: Once the battery is low, fly the drone back as soon as possible to prevent drone loss.
Turn on the transmitter while holding the “Follow Me” button to enter Mode 1. (Do not release the “Follow Me" button until the transmitter is powered on.)
The transmitter also has Status LED, Speed Status, Photo/Video indicator, RTH indicator, Charging Indicator Light, Headless Mode indicator, Follow-me indicator, and Trim LED.
Scan the QR codes provided (one for iOS, one for Google Play) or search for "HS GPS PRO" on the App Store™ or Google Play™ to download the application for free.
Press the "Power Switch" button on the battery to turn it on and check the battery level indicators (High, Electricity, Low).
Pull out the battery from the drone. Connect the USB Charging Cable to the battery, then connect the USB Charging Cable to a computer or a USB adapter (5V-1A/2A, not included). Charging time is approximately 3-6 hours, depending on charging power.
Connect the USB Charging Cable to the Transmitter, then connect the USB Charging Cable to a computer or a USB adapter (5V-1A/2A, not included). Charging time is approximately 1 hour.
Tips: When the transmitter is in low power, the "Battery Power Indicators" will blink constantly. Before charging, review the "Use of Battery" section in "Safety Guidelines".
Attach propellers with the ring mark to the motor cover with ring marks. Propellers are marked "A" or "B". Ensure correct motor position. Steps:
Tips: The propellers are stored underneath the foam box.
To prevent accidents or injuries, it is suggested to install the propeller guards. Steps:
All operations are described using Mode 2 as an example.
Tips: Safe to Fly (GPS) The default GPS Mode is BEGINNER MODE. In this mode: Flight Distance is limited to 0-30 M/0-98.4 Feet. Flight Altitude is limited to 0-30 M/0-98.4 Feet. RTH Altitude is under 25 M/82 Feet. You can only turn off BEGINNER MODE to modify parameters in the APP after completing Compass Calibration.
ATTENTION: If LED Flight Indicators blink quickly, the drone is searching for GPS signals. If the drone keeps blinking quickly after a few minutes, the process has FAILED. Move the drone a meter or so from the ground and repeat calibration. If flying indoors, hold the Headless Mode button for 3 seconds to exit GPS Mode; LED lights will blink slowly, allowing flight after calibration.
Place the drone on a flat, dry, unobstructed, and lit area. LED Flight Indicators will blink Blue (Back) and White (Front), indicating GPS signal search. This may take a few minutes. App Drone Status: “Waiting for GPS signal". Once lights turn solid (Blue back, White front), GPS Mode is Ready (drone can only take off when connected to GPS successfully). App Drone Status: "Ready to fly".
Push Joysticks at 11 & 1 o'clock positions. Lights will blink rapidly in both Blue (Back) and White (Front). App Drone Status: "Gyroscope is being calibrated" then "Gyroscope okay”. You can also calibrate if the drone does not stay on course correctly.
Connect your smartphone to the drone's Wi-Fi and check status on the "HS GPS PRO" App.
The HS GPS PRO app provides various functions including:
Rotating propellers can be dangerous. Do not start motors near people.
Press the One Button Take-off/Landing button: propellers will spin and the drone will take off to about 5 feet altitude (always keep the drone's head facing forward). Press the button again: the drone will land automatically. Keep hands on the transmitter as long as motors are spinning.
The Emergency Stop function should only be used in emergencies to avoid damage or injury.
Long press the One Button Take-off/Landing button for 2 seconds: motors will stop immediately, and the drone will fall directly.
When activated, the drone follows the GPS signal of your smartphone.
Follow Me mode may be hard to activate if phone's GPS signal is weak due to signal loss from buildings, trees, or mobile phone congestion. Use in an open area and be mindful of surroundings. The drone is NOT equipped with obstacle avoidance.
If the drone flies under NO GPS Mode, trim it for balanced flight. Press the Trim button for 3 seconds to enter trim mode. Push the direction stick opposite to the drone's drift to rebalance. Press the Trim button again to exit.
The RTH function brings the drone back to the last recorded Take-Off Point. This function only works in GPS mode. There are three types: Smart RTH, Low-Battery RTH, and Failsafe RTH.
Press the Return to Home Button on your Transmitter or tap on the App. The transmitter will beep. The drone will return to the TAKE OFF Point. Press the button again to stop RTH. Push the throttle joystick down to land the drone safely.
Triggered when Flight Battery level is low. Drone flies back from about 100 feet, and you can still control it. Push throttle down to land safely. If power is completely empty, drone returns to the TAKE OFF point.
Drone enters Return to Home Mode if signal between drone and transmitter is lost. Drone flies back from about 100 feet and rebinds to transmitter. When drone is back in view, you can control it again.
WARNING: This drone is NOT equipped with obstacle-avoidance.
Hold the Headless Mode button on the transmitter for 3 seconds to exit GPS MODE. Press the button to enter Headless Mode. Press again to exit Headless Mode.
Under Headless Mode, the forward direction is the direction the drone's head faces when it takes off. To ensure pilot can tell drone's direction, it is recommended to stay in the same orientation as the drone's head when it takes off. If so, pushing the direction joystick forward makes the drone fly forward; backward makes it fly towards the pilot; left/right moves it left/right relative to the pilot. Maintaining the same orientation as the drone's head at takeoff is crucial.
The drone's camera supports taking photos and videos.
Do not take photos when shooting a video!
When using the HS-GPS PRO app, original photos and videos are compressed and saved to the smartphone. Original images and videos are also saved in the TF card. To access them, press the TF card slightly to take it out, then insert it into the card reader and into a computer's USB outlet. Images can also be viewed in the App.
