11.0 Preparation
11.1 App Download
Scan the QR codes for iOS and Google Play to download the "HS GPS PRO" application from the App Store or Google Play.
11.2 Check Battery Level
Press the power button to activate and check the battery level indicators.
12.0 Operation Guide
All subsequent operations in this manual are performed in MODE 2.
12.1 Pairing
- Turn on the transmitter.
- Plug the battery into the drone and turn it on.
- Place the drone on a flat, dry, clear, and well-lit surface.
- Push the left stick up then down to pair with the drone. The drone's LED lights will be pink at the front and purple at the rear if the drone is successfully paired.
12.2 Compass Calibration
Step 1:
Push both control sticks to the 1 and 11 o'clock positions (inward and down). The front pink lights and rear purple lights will flash rapidly. The drone app status will show "Compass calibration".
Step 2:
Hold the drone horizontally: Rotate your body 360 degrees. The rear lights will turn purple.
Step 3:
Hold the drone vertically and rotate your body 360 degrees. The front pink lights and the rear purple light will turn solid. The compass only needs to be calibrated during the drone's first flight in a new area.
12.3 Gyroscope Calibration
Push both control sticks to the 11 and 1 o'clock positions (outward and down). The lights will flash rapidly in blue (rear) and white (front). The drone app status will show "Gyroscope is calibrated" then "Gyroscope OK".
Remark: You can also calibrate the drone if it does not follow the correct heading.
12.4 GPS Search
Place the drone on a flat, dry surface in a clear and well-lit area. The LED flight indicators will flash blue (rear) and white (front). This means the drone is searching for a GPS signal. This process may take a few minutes. The drone app status will show "Waiting for GPS signal". Once all the lights are solid, GPS mode is ready. (The drone can only take off if it is successfully connected to GPS).
The blue (rear) and white (front) lights will be solid (not flashing). The drone app status will show "Ready to fly".
ATTENTION:
- If the LED flight indicators flash rapidly, it indicates that the drone is searching for GPS signals.
- If the drone flashes rapidly after a few minutes, it indicates that the process has FAILED. Please take the drone about one meter off the ground and repeat all compass calibration operations until the process is successful.
- If you are flying indoors, please hold the GPS button (📍) for 3 seconds to exit GPS mode, and the LED lights will flash slowly. You can fly this drone after performing the compass calibration operations if you exit GPS mode.
12.5 One-Key Takeoff/Landing
The rotating propellers can be dangerous. Do not start the motors when people are nearby.
When you press the one-key takeoff/landing button (⬆️⬇️), the propellers will spin and the drone will take off to an altitude of approximately 5 feet. (Always keep the drone's head oriented forward.)
Press the one-key takeoff/landing button (⬆️⬇️) again, and the drone will land automatically. Remember to always keep your hands on the transmitter as long as the motors are spinning.
12.6 Wi-Fi Connection
As illustrated, pull out the phone holder and lock it. Connect your smartphone to the drone's Wi-Fi and check the drone's status in the HS GPS PRO application. On your smartphone, search for available Wi-Fi networks: "Holystonefpv-***'*'". Wait for your smartphone to connect to the drone's Wi-Fi network. This connection is usually represented by the Wi-Fi logo appearing on your smartphone screen. Enter the HS GPS PRO application. The connection between your smartphone and the drone is established automatically.

13.2 Beginner Mode
The default GPS mode is BEGINNER MODE. In BEGINNER MODE:
- Flight distance is limited between 0 and 30 meters (0 and 98.4 feet).
- Flight altitude is limited between 0 and 30 meters (0 and 98.4 feet).
- The Return to Home (RTH) altitude is below 25 meters (82 feet).
You can only disable BEGINNER MODE to modify the application settings on your phone after completing the compass calibration operations.
13.3 Emergency Stop
The emergency stop function should be activated in case of an emergency during flight to prevent any damage or injury.
Long press the one-key takeoff/landing button (⬆️⬇️) for 2 seconds. The motors will stop immediately, and the drone will stop immediately.
13.4 Speed Switch
This drone comes with 3 speed modes (low/medium/high). Turn the speed dial (⏱️) to the right to accelerate. Turn it to the left to decelerate.
- If the transmitter's speed indicator light is off, it means the drone is at low speed.
- If the light is on, it means the drone is at medium speed.
- If the light is flashing, it means the drone is set to high speed.
(Medium speed is set by default!)
13.5 Camera Angle Adjustment
During flight, you can operate the camera angle adjustment dial (📸) to adjust the camera's tilt angle up or down. (The gimbal tilt range is 90 degrees.)
13.6 Trim Function (Non-GPS Mode)
F/B Lateral Drift Compensation:
- If the drone drifts forward, hold the trim button (↔️) and push the direction stick down to balance the drone.
- If the drone drifts backward, hold the trim button (↔️) and push the direction stick up to balance the drone.
L/R Lateral Tilt Compensation:
- If the drone drifts to the left, hold the trim button (↕️) and push the stick to the right to balance the drone.
- If the drone drifts to the right, hold the trim button (↕️) and push the stick to the left to balance the drone.
13.7 Headless Mode
- Press the headless mode button (👤) on the transmitter. A sound signal will be emitted by the transmitter, and the transmitter's headless mode indicator will light up, indicating that the drone has entered headless mode.
- Press the headless mode button (👤) again, and you will hear a long beep. The headless mode indicator on the transmitter will turn off, indicating that the drone has exited headless mode.
Ensure that the pilot remains in the same orientation as the drone's head when the drone takes off.
In headless mode, the forward direction is the direction the drone's head was facing when it moved away from the lakes (likely a translation error, should be "when it took off").
To ensure the pilot can indicate the drone's direction, we recommend that pilots align themselves in the same direction as the drone's head when the drone takes off.
If this is the case, when the pilot pushes the stick forward or backward, the drone flies towards or away from the pilot. If the pilot moves the right stick left or right, the drone moves left or right relative to the pilot.
13.8 Return to Home (RTH)
The Return to Home (RTH) function brings the drone back to the last recorded takeoff point. This function can only be achieved in GPS mode. There are three types of RTH: Smart RTH, Low Battery RTH, and Failsafe RTH.
13.8.1 Smart RTH
Press the Return to Home button (🏠) on your transmitter, and it will start beeping. Your drone will return to the takeoff point. Press the button (🏠) again to stop the RTH procedure. Push the throttle stick down to land the drone in a safe area.
13.8.2 Low Battery RTH
Low battery RTH mode is triggered when the flight battery level is low. When low battery RTH mode is activated, the drone will fly back to approximately 100 feet, and you can still control your drone. Push the throttle stick down to land the drone in a safe area. When the drone's power is completely depleted, it returns to the takeoff point where you set it.
13.8.3 Failsafe RTH
The drone will enter Return to Home mode if the signal between the drone and the transmitter is lost. The drone will return to your location from approximately 100 feet, and the drone will reconnect to itself. When the drone returns to your line of sight, you can control it again.
The drone is NOT equipped with an obstacle avoidance device.
