Application and Operative Cooling Range
The cooling compartment has varying temperature zones. The digital display indicates the temperature in the middle of the cabinet. The Dual Zone fridge/freezer can be used as a fridge, freezer, or both simultaneously. It is designed for outdoor use such as camping.
The fridge/freezer is designed to operate in ambient temperatures between -10°C and +55°C with a maximum air humidity of 90%. It can operate continuously at a maximum angle of 30°. Level operation is preferable.
Note: Adequate airflow is required around the compressor at all times for heat radiation (Fig. 1). The cooling system is designed to operate on angles up to 30 degrees. Exposure to angles over 30 degrees should be limited to a maximum of four (4) hours continuous operation (Fig. 2).
Power Requirements
The fridge/freezer operates on AC or DC voltage:
- AC Input: 240V AC at 50Hz.
- DC Input: 12V or 24V DC (e.g., car cigarette lighter or car battery).
The power supply automatically switches to mains operation when connected to 240V mains power, even if the 12V/24V DC power cord is connected.
If the fridge/freezer is operating when the vehicle ignition is switched OFF, it will switch OFF automatically when the power source voltage falls below the Battery Protection cut-out setting. It will switch back ON when the vehicle is restarted and the power source voltage reaches the Battery Protection cut-in setting.
Operating Your Fridge/Freezer with 12/24V DC
- Plug the 12V/24V DC power cord into the DC power socket on the fridge/freezer and connect to a suitable 12V or 24V DC power source.
- The fridge/freezer will automatically turn on.
- The display will show the current internal cabinet temperature.
- For optimum performance, a reliable DC power source is important. Direct connection to the battery is recommended.
- Use only the supplied 1.5m DC power cord.
Important: If a DC extension cord is required, use a 6mm dia. (AWG11) 4.58mm² Twin Sheath Two Core cord with direct connection to the battery terminals and a 15A inline fuse.
The fridge/freezer has electronic control to prevent polarity reversal. The power input socket has a 15A blade fuse.
12/24V DC Power Requirements
If your fridge/freezer is cutting out prematurely, check:
- Low voltage protection setting on Battery Protection.
- Suitability of the DC power cord and connections.
The fridge/freezer has a multi-level Battery Protection to prevent excessive discharging of your vehicle battery. Setting Battery Protection to LOW is recommended when using DC power supply.
Note: A battery charger may only be connected to the battery when the fridge/freezer is disconnected from the DC power source.
Over-voltage may damage the electronics. The fridge/freezer has reverse polarity protection.
Note: Use the correct cord size and gauge for DC supply to prevent voltage decrease over distance.
Always consult a qualified automotive electrician when using a DC extension cord.
Operating Your Fridge/Freezer with 240V AC
- Plug the 240V AC power cord into the AC POWER socket on the fridge/freezer and connect to a suitable 240V AC power source.
- The fridge/freezer will automatically turn on.
- The display will show the current internal cabinet temperature.
- The unit has a multi-voltage internal power supply with priority circuit for 240V AC.
- The power input socket has a 15A DC blade and a 5A/250V glass fuse.
Caution: Do not touch cords, plugs, or switches with wet hands or wet feet. If operating on a boat via a shore connection, the power connection must include an earth leakage RCD residual current device.
Temperature Control
Upon connection to AC or DC power, the appliance automatically switches on. The LCD control panel displays the current cabinet temperature, Battery Protection, and Cooling Speed settings, along with the current input voltage.
The Temperature Controller maintains the set temperature. The compressor starts when the internal cabinet temperature increases by 0.5 to 1.5 degrees above the set temperature and runs until it is 0.5 to 1.5 degrees below the set temperature.
Battery Protection Setting
1. Fridge automatically restarts once input voltage is reached and retains original settings.
2. Audible beeping occurs when the monitor is activated.

Using with Solar Panel or Generator
Using with Solar Panels
The fridge/freezer's power consumption and efficiency make it ideal for use with solar panels to recharge the DC power source. Solar panels provide charge to the battery during daylight hours while the appliance operates.
As solar panel output varies, the fridge/freezer cannot be connected directly to solar panels. It must be connected to a suitable DC battery, with the solar panels connected to the battery.
Recommended solar panel kits are 100 to 200 watts. DO NOT connect the fridge/freezer directly to the solar panel; connection must be via the battery.
Using Portable Generators
Use the correct generator size. An incorrect generator or voltage output may result in reduced performance or damage, voiding the warranty.
If connecting directly to an AC generator, use only a digital or inverter type generator that provides a stable 240V AC output, designed for electronic appliances.
DO NOT connect the fridge/freezer directly to a generator's DC power output; this will cause damage and void the warranty. Connection must be via the battery.
When charging the battery using a generator, use a 'smart battery charger' that is fully automatic, spark-proof, and reverse polarity protected. Connect the battery charger directly to the generator's AC power output.

Owners Manual Tips and Suggestions
- Do not store fresh and frozen foods right beside each other.
- When setting temperatures at 0°C or lower, do not store glass bottles or liquids that may freeze and shatter.
- Store items like fruit and vegetables closer to the top of the cabinet, which is slightly warmer, to reduce the risk of spoiling and damage.
- For efficiency, keep the cabinet as full as possible. A full cabinet uses less power than a half-empty one. Replace finished products with bottles of water to fill empty spaces.
- Minimize frequent door opening to prevent warm air entry.
- When located in a car or trailer, keep the appliance away from direct sunlight and ensure adequate ventilation for efficient power consumption and performance. Vehicle interiors can reach +55°C in the sun.
