GIRO (D-M) and GIRO Models
These models are wireless remote control and receiver units for lighting systems, operating on 24Vdc power and using a CR2032 3V Lithium battery ? for the remote.
Installation
Remote Unit Installation: The remote unit requires physical mounting, potentially with a specific depth requirement (e.g., 15mm).
Power and Wiring: Connect the 24Vdc power supply ? to the receiver unit. The receiver unit then powers the connected lighting fixtures ?.
Pairing and Master Mode
Pairing Range: Wireless communication between units typically has a range of up to 15 meters ?.
Master Mode: A master unit can control up to 5 slave units. The pairing process involves establishing a connection between the master and slave devices, often within a specific time window (e.g., 60 seconds after initiating pairing on the master).
General Pairing: To pair a remote to a receiver, a common procedure involves pressing a button on the receiver (e.g., for 3 seconds) and then activating the remote within a set time (e.g., 30 seconds).
Operation
On/Off: A short press on the remote typically toggles the lights ON/OFF.
Dimming: A longer press or specific sequence allows for brightness adjustment, usually from 100% down to 10%.
Reset: A reset function is available to restore default settings or re-initialize the dimmer/light function, often activated by a specific button press sequence (e.g., two presses).
Unpairing
To remove a paired remote from a receiver, follow the unpairing procedure, which usually involves a specific button press sequence on the receiver.
Connectivity
These systems support connecting multiple receiver units, with some configurations allowing up to 4 units to be linked.
GIRO (D-MWA) Model
The GIRO (D-MWA) model shares similar functionalities and operational principles with the GIRO (D-M) model, including installation, pairing, and operation of lighting systems.
Key features include:
- 24Vdc power operation.
- CR2032 3V Lithium battery ? for the remote.
- Wireless control with a range of up to 15 meters ?.
- Master/Slave configuration for controlling multiple lights.
- Dimming and ON/OFF functionality.
- Unpairing and connectivity features.
GIRO NEXT Model
The GIRO NEXT is an advanced wireless lighting control system. It utilizes a CR2032 3V Lithium battery ? for its remote and operates with 24Vdc power supplies.
Installation and Wiring
Install the remote unit and connect the 24Vdc power supply ? to the receiver. The receiver unit has multiple outputs (labeled 1 through 6) for connecting different lighting fixtures ?.
Matching and Pairing
Matching Process: To pair a remote with the receiver, a specific sequence is required. For ON/OFF control, press and hold the remote button for more than 3 seconds (>3 sec). For dimming, a short press (<1 sec) is used. The receiver typically needs to be activated within a 30-second window after the remote action.
Master/Slave Configuration: The system supports connecting multiple receivers, with a maximum of 4 units (max 4) that can be controlled wirelessly.
Operation
ON/OFF: A short press toggles the lights. A long press (e.g., >3 sec) is used for ON/OFF control.
Dimming: The GIRO NEXT D-M variant allows for step-wise dimming (100%, 66%, 33%, 10%) by holding the button. A reset function is also available.
Reset: Specific sequences (e.g., pressing for 5 seconds or >7 seconds) are used for resetting functions.
Connectivity
The GIRO NEXT system allows for connecting multiple receiver units to a single remote or master control, extending the control capabilities for larger installations.
