Safety Information
- Before setting up the monitor, carefully read all the documentation that came with the package.
- To prevent fire or shock hazard, never expose the monitor to rain or moisture.
- Never try to open the monitor cabinet. The dangerous high voltages inside the monitor may result in serious physical injury.
- If the power supply is broken, do not try to fix it by yourself. Contact a qualified service technician or your retailer.
- Before using the product, make sure all cables are correctly connected and the power cables are not damaged. If you detect any damage, contact your dealer immediately.
- Slots and openings on the back or top of the cabinet are provided for ventilation. Do not block these slots. Never place this product near or over a radiator or heat source unless proper ventilation is provided.
- The monitor should be operated only from the type of power source indicated on the label. If you are not sure of the type of power supply to your home, consult your dealer or local power company.
- Use the appropriate power plug which complies with your local power standard.
- Do not overload power strips and extension cords. Overloading can result in fire or electric shock.
- Avoid dust, humidity, and temperature extremes. Do not place the monitor in any area where it may become wet. Place the monitor on a stable surface.
- Unplug the unit during a lightning storm or if it will not be used for a long period of time. This will protect the monitor from damage due to power surges.
- Never push objects or spill liquid of any kind into the slots on the monitor cabinet.
- To ensure satisfactory operation, use the monitor only with UL listed computers which have appropriate configured receptacles marked between 100-240V AC.
- If you encounter technical problems with the monitor, contact a qualified service technician or your retailer.
- Adjustment of the volume control as well as the equalizer to other settings than the center position may increase the ear-/headphones output voltage and therefore the sound pressure level.

Care & Cleaning
- Before you lift or reposition your monitor, it is better to disconnect the cables and power cord. Follow the correct lifting techniques when positioning the monitor. When lifting or carrying the monitor, grasp the edges of the monitor. Do not lift the display by the stand or the cord.
- Cleaning: Turn your monitor off and unplug the power cord. Clean the monitor surface with a lint-free, non-abrasive cloth. Stubborn stains may be removed with a cloth dampened with mild cleaner.
- Avoid using a cleaner containing alcohol or acetone. Use a cleaner intended for use with the monitor. Never spray cleaner directly on the screen, as it may drip inside the monitor and cause an electric shock.
The following symptoms are normal with the monitor:
- The screen may flicker during the initial use due to the nature of the fluorescent light. Turn off the Power Switch and turn it on again to make sure that the flicker disappears.
- You may find slightly uneven brightness on the screen depending on the desktop pattern you use.
- When the same image is displayed for hours, an afterimage of the previous screen may remain after switching the image. The screen will recover slowly or you can turn off the Power Switch for hours.
- When the screen becomes black or flashes, or cannot work anymore, contact your dealer or service center to fix it. Do not repair the screen by yourself!

1.1 Welcome!

1.3 Monitor Introduction
1.3.1 Front/Side View
The monitor features several control buttons on its front/side:
- 1. 5-way button: Turns on the OSD menu, enacts selected OSD menu items, increases/decreases values, moves selection (up/down/left/right), and turns on the OSD menu when the monitor is in standby mode or displays "NO SIGNAL".
- 2. X button: Exits the OSD menu item and turns on the OSD menu when the monitor is in standby mode or displays "NO SIGNAL".
- 3. Shortcut 1 button: Defaults to GamePlus. Can be changed via MyFavorite > Shortcut > Shortcut 1 menu. Also turns on OSD in standby/"NO SIGNAL" mode.
- 4. Shortcut 2 button: Defaults to GameVisual. Can be changed via MyFavorite > Shortcut > Shortcut 2 menu. Also turns on OSD in standby/"NO SIGNAL" mode.
- 5. Power button/power indicator: Turns the monitor on/off. The power indicator shows status: White (ON), Amber (Standby/No signal), OFF (OFF).
1.3.2 Back View
The rear of the monitor provides various connection ports:
- 1. DC-IN port: Connects the power cord.
- 2. HDMI port: For connection with an HDMI 2.0 compatible device.
- 3. DisplayPort: For connection with a DisplayPort compatible device.
- 4. USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C (supports DP Alt mode): For connection with DisplayPort/USB Type-C devices, supporting USB power and data delivery (15W power delivery, 5V/3A). Compatible with USB 3.2 Gen1 (5Gbps).
- 5. USB 3.2 Gen1 upstream port: Connects to a USB upstream cable to enable monitor USB ports.
- 6. USB 3.2 Gen1 downstream ports: For connecting USB devices like keyboards, mice, or flash drives.
- 7. Earphone jack: Available when an HDMI/DisplayPort signal is connected.
- 8. Kensington lock slot: For security.
- 9. Control buttons: General control buttons.
1.3.3 GamePlus Function
The GamePlus function offers a toolkit for gamers, including:
- Crosshair overlay: 6 different crosshair options.
- On-screen timer and stopwatch: Positionable on the display to track gaming time.
- FPS counter: Displays frames per second to indicate game smoothness.
- Display Alignment: Provides alignment lines on screen edges for multi-monitor setups.
To activate GamePlus:
- Press the GamePlus shortcut button.
- Use the 5-way button (up/down) to select functions.
- Press the 5-way button (right) or the confirmation button to confirm and navigate settings (up/down). Use the left button to go back/exit.
- Highlight a setting and press the activation button. Press the 'X' button to inactivate.
1.3.4 GameVisual Function
GameVisual provides different picture modes for various scenarios:
- Scenery Mode: Optimized for scenery photos.
- Racing Mode: Best for racing games.
- Cinema Mode: Best for watching movies.
- RTS/RPG Mode: Ideal for Real-Time Strategy and Role-Playing Games.
- FPS Mode: Best for First Person Shooter games.
- sRGB Mode: For viewing photos and graphics from PCs.
- MOBA Mode: For multiplayer online battle arena games.
- User Mode: Allows for adjustable color settings.
Note: Certain functions (ASCR, Saturation, Color Temp., Brightness, Contrast, Gamma) may not be user-configurable in specific GameVisual modes.
1.3.5 Other Function(s)
- HDR: The monitor supports HDR format. An "HDR ON" message appears when HDR content is detected. When HDR is active, functions like ELMB Sync, GameVisual, Shadow Boost, Brightness, Contrast, ASCR, Aspect Control, Blue Light Filter, Color Temp., Gamma, and Saturation may not be available.
Chapter 2: Setup
2.1 Assembling the Monitor Arm/Base
1. Insert the base into the arm.
2. Fix the base to the arm using the bundled screw (M6 x 15 mm).
Recommendation: Cover the table surface with a soft cloth to prevent damage to the monitor during assembly.
2.2 Cable Management
Organize cables using the provided cable management hole.
2.3 Adjusting the Monitor
For optimal viewing, adjust the monitor to a comfortable angle. Hold the stand securely when changing angles.
- Tilt: Recommended angle is +20° to -5°.
- Swivel: Recommended angle is +25° to -25°.
- Height Adjustment: Up to 110 mm.
- Portrait View: Can pivot 90°.
Pivoting the monitor:
- Lift the monitor to its highest position.
- Tilt the monitor to its maximum angle.
- Pivot the monitor clockwise to the desired angle.
Note: Slight shaking during angle adjustment is normal.
2.4 Detaching the Arm (for VESA Wall Mount)
The monitor arm is detachable for VESA wall mounting (100 x 100 mm).
To detach the arm:
- Place the monitor face down on a table (use a soft cloth for protection).
- Press the release button to detach the stand (arm and base) from the monitor.
Requirements: Use a UL Listed Wall Mount Bracket with a minimum weight/load capacity of 22.7kg (Screw size: M4 x 10 mm). The VESA wall mount kit is purchased separately.
2.5 Connecting the Cables
To connect the power cord:
- Connect the power adapter to the monitor's DC input.
- Connect the power cord to the power adapter and then to a power outlet.
To connect HDMI/DisplayPort/USB Type-C cable:
- Plug one end into the monitor's corresponding jack (HDMI, DisplayPort, or USB Type-C).
- Connect the other end to your device's corresponding jack.
After connecting, select the desired signal source from the Input Select item in the OSD menu.
To use the earphone: Connect the earphone jack when an HDMI or DisplayPort signal is active.
To use the USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports:
- Upstream: Connect the monitor's USB upstream port (Type-C or Type-B) to your computer's USB port using the appropriate cable. Ensure your computer runs Windows 10/11 for full functionality.
- Downstream: Connect your USB devices to the monitor's USB Type-A or Type-C jacks.
2.6 Turning on the Monitor
Press the power button. The power indicator will light up white, indicating the monitor is ON.
Chapter 3: General Instructions
3.1 OSD (On-Screen Display) Menu
3.1.1 How to Reconfigure
1. Press the 5-way button to activate the OSD menu.
2. Use the 5-way button (up/down) to navigate through functions. Press the 5-way button (enter) to activate a selected function. For sub-menus, navigate with up/down and select with enter or right button.
3. Use the 5-way button (up/down) to adjust settings.
4. To exit and save, press the 'X' button or repeatedly move the 5-way button left until the OSD menu disappears.
3.1.2 OSD Function Introduction
Gaming
- Variable OD: Improves gray level response time. Not available when ELMB SYNC is enabled.
- AMD FreeSync Premium: Dynamically adjusts refresh rate for smooth, low-latency gaming. Requires compatible AMD graphics source. Activation is limited to 48Hz~240Hz for HDMI/DisplayPort/Type-C and requires DisplayPort 1.2+HDR. Consult GPU manufacturers for system requirements.
- ELMB/ELMB SYNC: ELMB works when AMD FreeSync Premium is Off (100Hz, 120Hz, 144Hz, 240Hz). ELMB SYNC can be used with AMD FreeSync Premium On, reducing screen tearing, ghosting, and motion blur.
- GamePlus: Refer to section 1.3.3.
- GameVisual: Refer to section 1.3.4.
- Shadow Boost: Enhances dark tones in images for better visibility in dark scenes. Available in Racing, RTS/RPG, FPS, sRGB, and User modes.
Image
- Brightness: Adjustable from 0 to 100.
- Contrast: Adjustable from 0 to 100.
- HDR: Includes ASUS Gaming HDR, ASUS Cinema HDR, and Console Mode.
- VividPixel: Enhances image outlines for higher quality visuals.
- ASCR: Toggles ASUS Smart Contrast Ratio.
- Aspect Control: Adjusts aspect ratio to Full or 4:3.
- Blue Light Filter: Reduces blue light to alleviate eye strain. Levels 1-4 are available, with Level 4 being an optimized setting compliant with TUV Low Blue Light Certification. Brightness may be user-configurable for Levels 1-3.
- Eye Strain Alleviation: Take short breaks (approx. 5 mins) every hour, focus on distant objects, and perform eye exercises (look up/down, roll eyes, move eyes diagonally). High blue light can contribute to eye strain and AMD.
Color
- Color Temp.: Offers Cool, Normal, Warm, and User Mode.
- Gamma: Options include 2.5, 2.2, or 1.8.
- Saturation: Adjustable from 0 to 100.
Input Select
- Input Source: Manually select the input signal.
- Auto Input Detection: Automatically selects the latest inserted I/O port.
MyFavorite
- Shortcut: Assign functions (GamePlus, GameVisual, Brightness, Contrast, Input Select, HDR, Blue Light Filter, Color Temp., Volume, KVM, MyFavorite-1/2 Load) to shortcut buttons.
- Customized Setting: Load or save all monitor settings.
System Setup
- Language: Supports 22 languages including English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese, Russian, Czech, Croatian, Polish, Romanian, Hungarian, Turkish, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Indonesian, Persian, Ukrainian.
- Sound: Adjust sound settings, including Volume (0-100) and Mute (on/off).
- USB Setup:
- KVM: Switches USB downstream port between USB Type-C and USB Type-B upstream ports.
- Type-C Bandwidth: Select between USB 2.0 and USB 3.2 (up to 1920x1080-240Hz).
- USB Hub: Configure USB Type A port behavior during standby (On or Off).
When using a USB Type-B to Type-A cable, it connects upstream and downstream ports for USB devices.
