Safety Information
- Before setting up the monitor, carefully read all the documentation that came with the package.
- To prevent fire or shock hazard, never expose the monitor to rain or moisture.
- Never try to open the monitor cabinet. The dangerous high voltages inside the monitor may result in serious physical injury.
- If the power supply is broken, do not try to fix it by yourself. Contact a qualified service technician or your retailer.
- Before using the product, make sure all cables are correctly connected and the power cables are not damaged. If you detect any damage, contact your dealer immediately.
- Slots and openings on the back or top of the cabinet are provided for ventilation. Do not block these slots. Never place this product near or over a radiator or heat source unless proper ventilation is provided.
- The monitor should be operated only from the type of power source indicated on the label. If you are not sure of the type of power supply to your home, consult your dealer or local power company.
- Use the appropriate power plug which complies with your local power standard.
- Do not overload power strips and extension cords. Overloading can result in fire or electric shock.
- Avoid dust, humidity, and temperature extremes. Do not place the monitor in any area where it may become wet. Place the monitor on a stable surface.
- Unplug the unit during a lightning storm or if it will not be used for a long period of time. This will protect the monitor from damage due to power surges.
- Never push objects or spill liquid of any kind into the slots on the monitor cabinet.
- To ensure satisfactory operation, use the monitor only with UL listed computers which have appropriate configured receptacles marked between 100 ~ 240V AC.
- The socket-outlet shall be installed near the equipment and shall be easily accessible
- If you encounter technical problems with the monitor, contact a qualified servicer.
- Provide an earthing connection before the mains plug is connected to the mains. And, when disconnecting the earthing connection, be sure to disconnect after pulling out the mains plug from the mains.

Stability Hazard

WARNING
Usage of other than specified head- or earphones can result in hearing loss due to excessive sound pressures.
Excessive sound pressure from earphones and headphones can cause hearing loss. Adjustment of the equalizer to maximum increases the earphones and headphones output voltage and therefore the sound pressure level.
Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal waste, use separate collection facilities. Contact your local government for information regarding the collection systems available. If electrical appliances are disposed of in landfills or dumps, hazardous substances can leak into the groundwater and get into the food chain, damaging your health and well-being. Prevent Tipping
When using the display, fasten the LCD to a wall using a cord or chain that can support the weight of the monitor in order to prevent the monitor from falling.
Diagram 1 shows attaching a cord or chain to the monitor using an M4 or M6 screw. Diagram 2 illustrates securing the cord or chain to the wall.
- Display design may differ from those illustrated.
- Installing must be done by a qualified technician, and please contact your supplier for more information.
- For the Models with net weight >=7kg. Please select the suitable way to Prevent Tipping.
- For the models with VESA Mount, please use method 1, install the screws with ring to the VESA Mount hole, then tie the cord or chain to the wall. Otherwise, please use method 2 to tie the cord or chain to the stand and then fix it to the wall.
Care & Cleaning
- Before you lift or reposition your monitor, it is better to disconnect the cables and power cord. Follow the correct lifting techniques when positioning the monitor. When lifting or carrying the monitor, grasp the edges of the monitor. Do not lift the display by the stand or the cord.
- Cleaning. Turn your monitor off and unplug the power cord. Clean the monitor surface with a lint-free, non-abrasive cloth. Stubborn stains may be removed with a cloth dampened with mild cleaner.
- Avoid using a cleaner containing alcohol or acetone. Use a cleaner intended for use with the LCD. Never spray cleaner directly on the screen, as it may drip inside the monitor and cause an electric shock.
- This symbol of the crossed out wheeled bin indicates that the product (electrical, electronic equipment, and mercury-containing button cell battery) should not be placed in municipal waste. Please check local regulations for disposal of electronic products.

The following symptoms are normal with the monitor:
- The screen may flicker during the initial use due to the nature of the fluorescent light. Turn off the Power Switch and turn it on again to make sure that the flicker disappears.
- You may find slightly uneven brightness on the screen depending on the desktop pattern you use.
- When the same image is displayed for hours, an afterimage of the previous screen may remain after switching the image. The screen will recover slowly or you can turn off the Power Switch for hours.
- When the screen becomes black or flashes, or cannot work anymore, contact your dealer or service center to fix it. Do not repair the screen by yourself!

1.3 Assembling the monitor
To assemble the monitor:
- While assembling the monitor arm/base, we recommend that you keep the monitor inside its EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) packaging.
- Place the display on a cloth on the table, Then attach the base to the arm and fix with the screw to join them tightly. You can easily tighten the screw by fingers.
- Adjust the monitor to the angle that is most comfortable for you.
*Base screw size: M6 x 15mm
1.4 Connect cables
1.4.1 Rear of the LCD monitor

1.5 Monitor introduction
1.5.1 Using the Controls button
Use the control button on the back of the monitor to adjust the monitor settings.

2. Power Button:
- Press this button to turn the monitor on/off. Press this key to turn on the monitor when monitor is power off.
3. GameVisual:
- Press this hotkey to switch from eight video preset modes (Scenery Mode, Racing Mode, Cinema Mode, RTS/RPG Mode, FPS Mode, sRGB Mode, MOBA Mode and User Mode) with GameVisual ™ Video Intelligence Technology.
4. GamePlus:
- GamePlus: The GamePlus Function provides a toolkit and creates a better gaming environment for users when playing different types of games. Particularly, Crosshair function is specially designed for new gamers or beginners interested in First Person Shooter (FPS) games.
- To active GamePlus:
- Press GamePlus Button to enter the GamePlus main menu.
- Activate FPS Counter, Crosshair, Sniper, Timer, Stopwatch or Display Alignment function.
Move the Up/Down buttons to select and press the Center button to confirm the function needed. Press the EXIT button to go off, and exit.
FPS Counter/Crosshair/Timer/Stopwatch is movable by pressing the 5-way key.

5. Close Button:
- Exit the OSD menu.
6. (5-way) Button:
- Turn on the OSD menu. Enacts the selected OSD menu item.
- Increases/Decreases values or moves your selection up/down/left/right.
2.1 Adjusting the monitor
- For optimal viewing, we recommend that you look at the full face of the monitor, then adjust the monitor to the angle that is most comfortable for you.
- Hold the stand to prevent the monitor from falling when you change its angle.
- Adjust the monitor follow the pictures for the most comfortable viewing for you.

It is normal that the monitor slightly shakes while you adjust the viewing angle.

2.3 Detaching the arm/stand (for VESA wall mount)
- Avoid damaging the monitor surface. While detaching the monitor stand, always keep the monitor inside its EPS packaging.
The detachable stand of this monitor is specially designed for VESA wall mount.
To detach the arm/stand
- Disconnect power and signal cables. Carefully put the monitor facedown on its EPS packaging.
- Push the locking clips inward to detach the stand from the monitor.
- Hold the stand with both hands, tilt the base and slide it out.
- Detach the stand (arm and base) from the monitor.
- Use only the UL Listed Wall Mount Bracket with minimum weight/load 30 kg (Screw size: M4 x 10 mm).
3.1 OSD (On-Screen Display) menu
3.1.1 How to reconfigure
- Press the MENU button to activate the OSD menu.
- Press the Up/Down buttons to toggle between options in the Menu. As you move from one icon to another, the option name is highlighted.
- To select the highlighted item on the menu press the Center key.
- Press the Left/Right buttons to select the desired parameter.
- Press the Center key to enter the slide bar and then use the Up/Down buttons, according to the indicators on the menu, to make your changes.
- Press the Left/Right buttons to move left / right menu.

3.1.2 OSD Function Introduction
1. Gaming
- Variable OD: Speeds up the response time by Over Drive technology. Including OFF, Level1~Level 5.
- Adaptive-Sync: It can allow an Adaptive-Sync, G-sync compatible and FreeSync Premium Pro supported graphics source to dynamically adjust display refresh rate based on typical content frame rates for power efficient, virtually stutter free and low-latency display update.
- ELMB/ELMB SYNC: Check to decrease motion blur and minimize ghosting part when on-screen objects are fast moving. ELMB is disabled if input V frequency less than 85Hz. ELMB SYNC on support when Adaptive-Sync ON.
- GamePlus: The GamePlus Function provides a toolkit and creates a better gaming environment for users when playing different types of games. Particularly, Crosshair function is specially designed for new gamers.
- GameVisual: This function contains eight sub-functions that you can select for your preference.
- Shadow Boost: Dark color enhancement adjust monitor gamma curve to enrich the dark tones in an image making dark scenes and objects much easier be found.
- In the Racing Mode, the Saturation, and ASCR functions are not user-configurable.
- In the sRGB Mode, the Saturation, Color Temp. and Contrast functions are not user-configurable.
- In the MOBA Mode, the Saturation and ASCR functions are not user-configurable.
2. Image
You can adjust Brightness, Contrast, VividPixel, HDR Setting, Dynamic Dimming, ASCR, Aspect Control and Blue Light Filter from this main function.

- Brightness: The adjusting range is from 0 to 100.
- Contrast: The adjusting range is from 0 to 100.
- VividPixel: ASUS Exclusive Technology that brings lifelike visuals for crystal-clear and detail-oriented enjoyment. The adjusting range is from 0 to 100.
- HDR Setting: High Dynamic Range. Contains three HDR modes (ASUS Gaming HDR, ASUS Cinema HDR, Console Mode) and Brightness Adjustable.
- Dynamic Dimming: Dynamic local dimming, turn on this feature to improve the dynamic contrast.
- ASCR: Select ON or OFF to enable or disable dynamic contrast ratio function.
- Aspect Control: Adjusts the aspect ratio to "Full", "Equivalent" 1:1 and 16:9 (24"W).
- Blue Light Filter: Adjust the energy level of blue light emitted from LED backlight.
- When Brightness Adjustable is On, brightness is adjustable in HDR mode.
- When Blue Light Filter is activated, the default settings of Racing Mode will be automatically imported.
- Between Level 1 to Level 3, the Brightness function is user-configurable.
- Level 4 is optimized setting. It is compliance with TUV Low Blue Light Certification. The Brightness function is not user-configurable.
Please refer to the following to alleviate eye strains:
- Users should take some time away from the display if working for long hours. It is advised to take short breaks (at least 5 mins) after around 1 hour of continuous working at the computer. Taking short and frequent breaks is more effective than a single longer break.
- To minimize eye strain and dryness in your eyes, users should rest the eye periodically by focusing on objects that are far away.
- Eye exercises can help to reduces eye strain. Repeat these exercises often. If eye strain continues please consult a physician. Eye exercises: (1) Repeating look up and down (2) Slowly roll your eyes (3) Move your eyes diagonal.
- High energy blue light may lead to eye strain and AMD (Age-Related Macular Degeneration). Blue light filter to reduce 70% (max.) harmful blue light to avoiding CVS (Computer Vision Syndrome).
3. Color
Select the image color you like from this function.

- Display Color Space: Contains three preset color modes sRGB, DCI-P3, and Wide Gamut Mode.
- Color Temp.: Contains three preset color modes (6500K, 7500K, 9300K) and User Mode.
- Saturation: The adjusting range is from 0 to 100.
- Gamma: Contains three gamma modes including 1.8, 2.0, 2.2, 2.4, 2.6.
- In the User Mode, colors of R (Red), G (Green), and B (Blue) are user-configurable; the adjusting range is from 0 ~ 100.
4. Input Select
Select the input source: HDMI-1, HDMI-2 and DisplayPort.

5. MyFavorite
You can adjust Shortcut and Customized Setting from this main function.

- Shortcut: User can select from "GamePlus, GameVisual, Variable OD, Brightness, Mute, Shadow Boost, Contrast, Input Select, HDR Setting, Blue Light Filter, Volume (Earphone Out), Customized Setting-1 (Load), Customized Setting-2 (Load)" and set as shortcut key.
- Customized Setting: You can do your setting according to your favorite.
6. System Setup
Adjusts the system configuration.

- Language: Select OSD language. The selections are: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Poland, Czech, Croacia, Hungary, Romania, Portugal, Turkey, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Thai, Indonesian, and Ukrainian.
- Sound: Selects Volume (Earphone Out) to adjust the output volume level. Selects "Mute" to mute the output volume.
- USB Setup: Turn On/Off USB Hub function during the standby mode.
- Power Indicator: Turn the power LED indicator on/off.
- Power Key Lock: To disable / enable power key
- Key Lock: Disable all key functions. Pressing the down button for more than five seconds to disable key lock function.
- Power Setting: Use to select Standard Mode or Power Saving Mode.
- OSD Setup: Adjusts the OSD Position, OSD Timeout, Transparency, and DDC/CI of the OSD screen.
- DisplayPort Stream: Select DisplayPort 1.1 or DisplayPort 1.2 if your graphics card is not compatible with DisplayPort 1.4.
- DSC Support: Select ON or OFF to enable or disable DSC Support function.
- Information: Displays the monitor information.
- All Reset: Selects "Yes" to revert all settings to the factory default mode.
Please turn off HDR function before activating the Power saving mode.
