Congratulations on purchasing your new PARKSIDE Hot Glue Gun PHP 500 D2. This manual is an integral part of the product and contains important information regarding safety, operation, and disposal. Please familiarize yourself with all operating and safety instructions before using the product. Use the product only as described and for the specified applications. If you transfer the product to a third party, include all documentation.
Intended Use
The device is suitable for gluing wood, cardboard, packaging, PVC, carpets, seals, plastic, leather, ceramics, glass, and textiles using hot-melt adhesive. The material to be glued must be clean, dry, and degreased. Any other use or modification of the device is considered improper and carries significant accident risks. The manufacturer assumes no liability for damages resulting from improper use. The device is not intended for commercial use.

General Safety Precautions for Household Electrical Appliances

This appliance may be used by children aged 8 years and above, and by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, provided they are supervised or have been instructed on the safe use of the appliance and understand the resulting hazards. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children without supervision.
If the mains cable of this device is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, customer service, or a similarly qualified person to avoid hazards.
Additional Safety Precautions for Hot Glue Guns
Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance. ❗ ATTENTION! This appliance must be placed on its stand when not in use. Keep the device away from rain or moisture. Water ingress into an electrical appliance increases the risk of electric shock. Do not use the cable for carrying or hanging the device, or for pulling the plug from the socket. Keep the cable away from heat, oil, and sharp edges. If the mains cable is damaged or cut during operation, do not touch the cable; immediately pull the plug from the socket. Damaged or tangled cables increase the risk of electric shock. For indoor use only. During breaks of more than 30 minutes, unplug the device. Allow the device to cool down completely after use and before storage. Do not process materials containing asbestos. Avoid the risk of injury and fire, as well as health hazards: ? BURN HAZARD! The glue and nozzle heat up to over 200 °C. Do not touch the nozzle or the glue. Do not allow hot glue to come into contact with people or animals. In case of skin contact, hold the affected area under cold running water for several minutes. Do not attempt to remove glue from the skin.
Always route the mains cable backwards from the device. ➡️
Handling
Before Operation
Preparing the Gluing Area
- Do not use flammable solvents to clean gluing areas.
- The ambient temperature and the temperature of the materials to be glued must not be lower than +5 °C or higher than +50 °C.
- Gluing areas must be clean, dry, and degreased.
- Roughen smooth surfaces before gluing to improve adhesion.
- For better adhesion, slightly warm materials that cool down quickly, such as steel.
- Screw on the desired nozzle ⑧.
Putting into Operation
Working with Cable
- Connect the mains cable ⑪ to the glue gun's mains connection ⑩ (see Fig. B). Plug the mains plug into the socket ?.
- Fold the plastic stand ⑥ forward. Place the device down.
- Insert a glue stick into the feed channel ①.
- Allow the device to heat up for approx. 5 minutes. The device is now ready for operation.
Working Cordless
- Connect the mains cable ⑪ to the charging station's mains connection ③. Plug the mains plug into the socket ?.
- Place the hot glue gun into the charging station ④.
- Insert a glue stick into the feed channel ①.
- Allow the device to heat up for approx. 5 minutes. The device is now ready for operation.
- Repeat the heating phase if the glue is difficult to dispense or very viscous.
Operation
Gluing
- Press the feed lever ⑤ to regulate the glue flow as needed.
- Apply glue in dots. For flexible materials like textiles, apply glue in zig-zag lines.
- Immediately after applying the glue, press the two pieces to be glued together firmly for approx. 30 seconds. The glued joint will be load-bearing after approx. 5 minutes.
- During work interruptions, place the glue gun on the plastic stand ⑥ or in the charging station ④.
- After cooling, remove any excess glue residue with a sharp knife. Glued joints can be released again by heating.
Switching Off
Pull the mains plug from the socket ?.
Nozzle Replacement
The nozzle ⑧ heats up to over 200 °C. ? Wear protective gloves ?. Heat the device for approx. 5 minutes. Replace the nozzle ⑧ while warm.
? BURN HAZARD! Only touch the nozzle ⑧ by the heat protection sleeve ⑨. The nozzle tip is hot!
? NOTE: Hold the device upright with the nozzle pointing upwards, otherwise glue may leak.
Maintenance and Cleaning
⚠️ WARNING! PULL THE MAINS PLUG BEFORE ALL CLEANING WORK.
The hot glue gun requires no maintenance. Always keep the device clean and dry. No liquids must enter the inside of the device. Use a cloth to clean the housing. Never use benzine, solvents, or cleaning agents that attack plastic.
Disposal
The packaging consists of environmentally friendly materials that can be disposed of via local recycling centers. Do not dispose of electrical appliances in household waste! In accordance with European Directive 2012/19/EU, used electrical appliances must be collected separately and recycled in an environmentally compatible manner. Information on disposal options for discarded appliances can be obtained from your local municipality or city administration.
Warranty

Dear Customer, This device comes with a 3-year warranty from the date of purchase. In case of product defects, you have legal rights against the seller of the product. These legal rights are not limited by our warranty described below.
Warranty Conditions
The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Please keep the original sales receipt carefully. This document is required as proof of purchase. If, within three years of the purchase date of this product, a material or manufacturing defect occurs, we will repair or replace the product free of charge at our discretion. This warranty service requires that within the three-year period, the defective device and proof of purchase (sales receipt) are presented along with a brief written description of the defect and when it occurred. If the defect is covered by our warranty, you will receive the repaired or a new product back. Repair or replacement of the product does not start a new warranty period.
Warranty Period and Legal Claims for Defects
The warranty period is not extended by warranty service. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts. Any damages and defects already present at the time of purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking. Repairs required after the warranty period has expired are subject to a charge.
Scope of Warranty
The device was manufactured with care in accordance with strict quality guidelines and thoroughly checked before delivery. The warranty applies to material or manufacturing defects. This warranty does not extend to product parts that are subject to normal wear and tear and can therefore be considered wear parts, nor to damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches, batteries, baking molds, or parts made of glass. This warranty becomes void if the product has been damaged, used improperly, or not maintained. For proper use of the product, all instructions in the operating manual must be strictly followed. Uses and actions that are not recommended or warned against in the operating manual must be avoided. The product is intended for private use only and not for commercial use. In case of misuse, improper handling, use of force, and interventions not carried out by our authorized service subsidiary, the warranty becomes void.

- The item number can be found on the type plate, as an engraving, on the cover page of your manual (bottom left), or as a sticker on the back or bottom.
