Function
LUX Setting
This setting determines the ambient light level at which the sensor operates. The consumer can adjust the work ambient light. When adjusted to the "sun" position (maximum), it can work during the daytime and at night. When adjusted to the "moon" position (minimum), it works only when the ambient light is less than 5LUX. Refer to the testing pattern for detailed adjustment.
SENS Adjustable
This knob adjusts the sensitivity of the motion sensor. Set the SENS knob to "-" for low sensitivity (detection distance of 2m). Set the knob to "+" for high sensitivity (detection distance of 8m).
Time-Delay
This feature is adjustable and allows the light to remain on after motion is detected. When the sensor receives subsequent induction signals after the first detection, it will recompute the time delay from that point. The time delay can be set according to the consumer's desire, ranging from a minimum of 12 seconds to a maximum of 6 minutes.
Manual Override
- To override to constant light mode: Ensure the sensor is switched ON in the automatic mode. Turn the wall switch OFF, then switch power ON within 2 seconds. The floodlight will flash, confirming the light has been switched to constant light mode. The sensor will now hold the light ON continuously, similar to a normal light.
- To switch back to automatic mode: Turn your wall switch OFF, then switch it ON again after 10 seconds. The floodlight will flash, confirming the switch back to automatic light mode.
Test
- Set the SENS knob clockwise to the maximum (+).
- Set the TIME knob anti-clockwise to the minimum (-).
- Set the LUX knob clockwise to the maximum (sun position).
- When you switch on the power, the light will turn on immediately. It will then turn off automatically after 5-30 seconds. If the light receives an induction signal during this period, it will work normally.
- After the first detection, the light can work again after a 10-second delay. If there is no induction signal, the load will stop working within 10 seconds.
- Turn the LUX knob anti-clockwise to the minimum setting. If it is adjusted to 5LUX, the load and sensor should not work when testing in daylight. If you cover the detection window with an opaque object, such as a towel, the load will work. Under no induction signal, the load will stop working within 10 seconds.
- Note for testing in daylight: Please turn the LUX knob to the "SUN" position; otherwise, the sensor lamp will not work.
- Ensure there is no hinder or unrest objects affecting the detection in front of the detection window.
Troubleshooting
1. Why does the sensor not switch OFF the light automatically?
- Please check if there is a continuous signal in the detection field.
- Please check if the time delay has been set to maximum.
- Please check if the power corresponds to the instructions.
- Please check if the temperature near the sensor changes, such as from air conditioning or central heating.
2. Why is the sensor sensitivity poor?
- Please check if there is any hinder in front of the detection window.
- Please check if the ambient temperature is too high.
- Please check if the induction signal source is within the detection field.
- Please check if the installation height corresponds to the installation height mentioned in the instructions.
