Safety Precautions

When operating the Beast, please adhere to the following safety guidelines:

• Always check your mirrors and blind spots, especially when operating through trails.
• Turn on headlights when additional visibility is needed.
• Ensure sufficient battery power before riding.
• Do not ride with more than one passenger unless the unit is fitted for it.
• Remove the charger once the battery is fully charged.
• Do not attempt to operate the unit while it is charging.
• This vehicle is not intended for operation by individuals under 16 years old.
• Avoid operating the unit on extreme inclines to prevent tipping.
• Do not make sharp or abrupt turns at high speeds to avoid tipping.
• Do not operate the unit under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
• Do not operate at excessive speeds.
• Do not completely submerge the unit in water.

Beast Operation: Turning the Unit On

Locate the key hole below the front display. Insert the provided keys.

• Position 1: Turn the key to this position to turn the unit on. The key cannot be removed in this position.
• Position 2: Turn the key to this position to turn the unit off.
• Position 3: Turn the key to this position to engage the steering lock. Refer to the steering lock section for more details.

Ensure you are properly situated on the unit before turning it on.

Engaging the Steering Lock

The Beast 2.0 features a steering column lock to prevent theft.

To engage the steering lock:

1. Turn the handlebars so they point to the left.
2. Insert the key into position 2, push down, and turn counterclockwise.
3. Once the key is in position 3, remove it.

Reverse these steps to disengage the steering lock.

Driving the Beast: Engaging the Motor

The throttle is located on the right handlebar. Rotate it towards you (back of hand towards your body). The throttle is sensitive; turn it slowly.

Ensure you are on the unit and can easily use the brakes, or that the unit is on its center kickstand before engaging the motor.

Driving the Beast: Braking

The Beast 2.0 is equipped with a front and rear hydraulic disc braking system for quick stopping.

• The left brake handle controls the rear brakes.
• The right brake handle controls the front brakes.

Brake handles can be adjusted for reach by moving the needle to one of five positions.

Important Note: Always use the rear brake first before applying the front brake to avoid injury.

Beast Operation: Handlebar Controls

Left Handlebar:

• High Beam / Low Beam: Toggle this switch to adjust headlight angle. The headlight must be on for this to function.
• Turn Signals: Push left to signal a left turn, push right to signal a right turn. Move to the middle position when done.
• Reverse Switch: Press and hold this switch while engaging the throttle to activate reverse mode. Note: Be aware of your surroundings when operating in reverse and use discretion.
• Horn: Push this button to sound the horn.

Right Handlebar:

• Front Brake: Pull this lever to engage the front brake. (Use the rear brake first, located on the left handlebar.)
• Throttle: Slowly rotate this towards you to engage the motor. Note: Practice engaging the throttle while the unit is on the center kickstand to get a feel for it. If not on the kickstand, ensure you are seated on the unit before using the throttle.
• Horn: Push this button to sound the horn.
• Lights: Push to the rightmost position for all lights on. Push to the middle position for rear lights only. Push to the leftmost position to turn off all lights.
• 3 Speed Switch: Select between three speed modes. Position 1 offers the longest range at the slowest speed. Position 3 provides the fastest speed with the shortest range.

Beast Operation: Display and Motor Switch

Display:

The display above the ignition shows key metrics:

• 1) Speed: Displays current speed in km/h.
• 2) Motor Power: Indicates power draw from the motor. Higher power draw leads to faster battery drain.
• 3) Odometer: Shows the total distance traveled in kilometers.
• 4) Battery Meter: Displays remaining battery power. It is advisable to charge when below 50%. Note: The battery meter may temporarily dip when starting and then stabilize; this is normal.

Beast D - Motor Switch:

If your model is the Beast D, a green switch on the left handlebar controls motor engagement.

• Up position: Engages the rear motor only (single motor).
• Down position: Engages both front and rear motors (dual motor).

Note: The battery drains significantly faster when both motors are active. Range estimates are provided for single motor use only.

Charging the Unit

The Beast comes with a charger compatible with regular outlets. The deluxe unit charger may look different but functions identically.

The charging port is located underneath the seat, between your legs.

Charging Process:

• Plug the charger into the wall outlet; the indicator light should be green.
• Plug the charger into the unit's charging port. The charger LED will turn red.
• Once fully charged, the charger LED will turn green again. Unplug the unit.

Important Note: Do not leave the charger plugged in for extended periods after charging is complete, as this can degrade battery life and pose a fire hazard.

You can charge the unit at any time, regardless of the battery's current level. Charging before the battery is fully depleted does not count as a full battery cycle.

Remote / Alarm Functions

The Beast includes a remote with multiple functions:

• 1) Panic Button: Press to activate the alarm for emergencies or to locate the vehicle.
• 2) Unlock Button: Press to disable the alarm before riding.
• 3) Lock Button: Press to arm the alarm. The alarm will engage 5 seconds after arming. Use after finishing your ride.
• 4) Remote Start: Press twice to start the bike without keys. Press the Unlock button (2) to disengage remote start.
• 5) Ignition Key: Used to turn on the unit, engage the steering lock, or unlock the seat lock.

Foot Rests

The Beast features extendable foot rests. The rear ones can accommodate an extra rider, while the front ones can be adjusted for different riding styles.

To extend the foot rests: Push them towards the Beast with your feet, and they will pop out. To retract them, reverse this process, pushing them back to the sides of the Beast.

Pedals and Kickstands

Pedals:

Pedals are included for manual propulsion if the battery runs out of power. Each pedal axle is marked with 'R' for right and 'L' for left. Screw them into the corresponding pedal arms of the unit.

Kickstands:

• Side Kick Stand: Ideal for short-term storage. Push it down with your feet and lean the Beast towards it to stand the unit. Note: The unit can still tip with the side kickstand engaged. For more secure storage, use the center kickstand.
• Center Kick Stand: Recommended for long-term storage due to its enhanced security. It requires more effort to set up.

Engaging and Disengaging the Center Kick Stand

Engaging the Center Kick Stand:

1. Place your right foot on the black metal pad of the center kickstand.
2. With your right hand, hold the rear rack of the bike.
3. Simultaneously apply downward weight with your right foot while pulling up with your right hand. The unit will stand upright.

Note: There is a learning curve; practice is recommended.

Disengaging the Center Kick Stand:

1. Place your left foot in front of where the center kickstand meets the ground.
2. Push the unit forward, as if about to roll over your foot.

The kickstand will retract, and the tires will touch the ground. Move your feet clear. Note: Once the unit is on the ground, do not continue rolling it over your foot.

Circuit Breaker and Mirrors

Circuit Breaker:

To prevent damage from surges, the Beast has a circuit breaker located underneath the seat, above the controller. A blue switch indicates its status; in case of a surge, it will trigger and turn off the unit.

If the unit does not turn on (display remains blank), the circuit breaker may be off. Open the seat lock and switch the breaker to the "ON" position.

Mirrors:

The Beast includes mirrors that screw onto each handlebar. Attach each mirror to its appropriate side (left mirror on the left handlebar, etc.). Loosely position the mirror, then tighten the bolt at the bottom to secure it. Mirrors may vary slightly from the illustration.

Quick Release Carrying Case

The Beast comes with a quick-release carrying case that can be attached or detached using the provided red keys.

To unlock: Insert the key, turn it, and lift the lid. Once unlocked, a red button will be visible. Press this button and lift the case to remove it. To reattach, ensure it snaps into the top grooves and the bottom groove.

Locking the Quick Release Case

Follow these steps to lock the quick-release case:

1. Insert the key horizontally into the lock.
2. Push the top panel towards the case with your fingers.
3. While pushing the top panel, use your thumb to push the bottom panel down.
4. Using your other hand, turn the key vertically to secure the lock.

Maintenance and Tips

Maintenance:

• Ensure tire pressure is at the recommended value (check tire sidewall for PSI).
• Check brakes before riding to ensure they are firm and the unit does not move when pulled.
• Verify all lights (headlights, brake lights, signal lights) are functioning.
• When storing the unit outside, use a cover to protect it from weather damage. If possible, store it indoors, or at least bring the battery inside.
• Consider a yearly check-up at a local Daymak dealer.
• Do not overcharge the battery; unplug it as soon as it is fully charged.

Tips:

• For longer periods of inactivity, use the center kickstand to prevent rolling and accidental motor engagement.
• When engaging the throttle, start slowly to gauge the unit's acceleration.
• For safest stopping, use the rear brakes first, followed by the front brakes.
• When leaving the unit outside for extended periods, use an additional lock secured to the frame to prevent theft.
• If the display does not turn on after inserting the key, check that the circuit breaker underneath the seat is set to "ON".
