This document provides instructions for the Tommee Tippee Perfect Prep Day & Night bottle preparation machine. It covers setup, usage, maintenance, and safety information.
Getting to Know Your Perfect Prep Machine
The machine includes:
- Screen
- Back button
- Select button
- Forward button
- Water hopper
- Bottle stand
- Dispenser outlet
Included inside: 1 x 150ml bottle with slow flow teat, milk storage lid, 1 x anti-bacterial water filter.
Instructions for Use - Setup
- Power on the Perfect Prep by pressing the middle button.
- Press and hold the right button for 3 seconds, then release (a gear icon will appear).
- Press the middle button to enter settings.
- Scroll using the left or right buttons to find your preferred language and confirm by pressing the middle button.
- Before first use, run a cleaning cycle and fit the filter. Press the select button and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Once the filter is fitted, the unit will warn you that the tank is empty and needs water. Use cold tap water.
- It may take up to 10 minutes for the water to filter through. Once enough water has filtered, the tank empty warning light will go off, and the system is ready to use.
Tip: The select button can be pressed at any time during the cleaning phase to pause water pumping.
Priming Your Filter
- Handle the filter only by the blue cap.
- Remove the filter from packaging.
- Remove the sticker from the top of the filter.
- Fill a bowl with cold tap water.
- Submerge the filter in water and gently agitate until bubbles stop.
- Your filter is now ready to fit into the water hopper.
Product Settings Menu
- Press and hold the forward button for 3 seconds, then release (a gear icon will appear).
- Use the back and forward buttons to scroll through settings.
- Press the select button to enter a particular setting.
- Settings include: Adjust volume (ml or fl oz), Clean unit, Descale unit, Fit new filter, Empty unit.
Making a Feed
- Turn the machine on by pressing the select button.
- Select the required feed size using the forward and back buttons and follow the on-screen instructions.
Replacing Your Filter
- Replacement filters are available from Tommee Tippee stockists.
- Do not use other brands of filter; they may not remove the same level of bacteria.
- Enter the settings menu, scroll to 'Fit new filter', press select, and follow on-screen instructions.
Periodic Cleaning
Clean your machine:
- Before first use and every 4 weeks.
- If the machine hasn't been used for 1 week.
- When replacing your filter.
Regularly clean external surfaces with a clean cloth (preferably with an antibacterial solution), including the dispenser spout.
- Enter settings menu, scroll to 'Clean unit', press select, and follow on-screen instructions.
Descaling
The screen will notify you when descaling is needed. This process removes calcium and mineral deposits.
- Enter settings menu, scroll to 'Descale unit', press select, and follow on-screen instructions.
- The process can take up to 30 minutes. Use food-grade white/clear vinegar for descaling.
Emptying Your Unit
- To drain the water, enter the settings menu, scroll to 'Empty unit', press select, and follow on-screen instructions.
FAQs
- Best place to keep Perfect Prep: Cool, dry location, away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent tank overheating.
- What does the hot shot do?: Helps dissolve formula powder quickly, kills bacteria, and dispenses water at over 70°C.
- How often to change the filter?: On average, every 3 months, depending on usage and bottle preparation size.
- Why use a Tommee Tippee filter?: Standard filters may not remove the same level of bacteria as Tommee Tippee filters.
- Why submerge the filter before first use?: To prime the filter and remove air bubbles or loose particles.
- How long can unused water stay in the tank?: Recommended to use within 1-2 days as water is a foodstuff.
Dos and Don'ts
- Dos: Ensure hands and surfaces are clean. Clean the machine before first use. Ensure the filter is properly seated. Keep the machine away from direct sunlight. Use cold tap water. Keep the exterior clean. Handle hot water carefully. Adjust bottle stand height. Keep clear of the dispensing spout. Always check food temperature before feeding.
- Don'ts: Do not contaminate the water tank. Do not clean with solvents or harsh chemicals. Do not use in a nursery. Do not use hot water except for cleaning cycles. Do not use if water temperature is outside the operating range (5°C-28°C). Do not pour boiling water over the filter. Do not overfill the hopper. Avoid spilling water on the machine. Do not remove the back panel.

This symbol indicates that the product should not be disposed of with household waste. Take it to designated collection points for recycling. Proper disposal helps conserve resources and prevent environmental harm. Contact your local authority for details on collection points. Penalties may apply for incorrect disposal according to national legislation.
The product is fitted with a BS 1363 mains plug containing a 5A fuse. If the fuse needs replacing, use only BS 1362 fuses rated at 5A. If the plug is not suitable for your home sockets, it should be removed and replaced by a qualified person. Follow the wiring color codes (GREEN AND YELLOW - EARTH, BLUE - NEUTRAL, BROWN - LIVE) for correct connection.
