This document provides instructions for the installation and use of the Ergotron LX Desk Monitor Arm.

Desk Placement Options
The LX Desk Monitor Arm can be mounted in various positions on a desk. Ensure the mounting surface is stable and strong enough to support the arm and monitor.
Installation Steps
- Attach the Clamp Mount: Secure the clamp mount to the edge of your desk. Ensure it is firmly attached. The clamp can accommodate desk thicknesses from 0.4" (10 mm) up to 2.4" (60 mm).
- Attach the Desk Mount: Connect the desk mount to the clamp mount.
- Mount the Monitor: Attach the monitor to the arm using the provided screws. Ensure the monitor is securely fastened.
- Adjust Arm Position: The arm can be rotated for portrait or landscape orientation.
- Tilt Adjustment: Adjust the tilt of the monitor for optimal viewing angle. The first-time adjustment may require more force.
- Cable Management: Route cables through the designated channels on the arm to keep them tidy.
- Adjustment Step: Lift and Lower: Adjust the lift strength to ensure smooth up and down movement of the arm. If the monitor is too heavy or too light, adjust the tension accordingly.
- Adjustment Step: Tilt and Swivel: Adjust the tilt and swivel tension for desired movement.
- Adjustment Step: Arm Swing: Adjust the arm swing tension for side-to-side movement.
Important Information and Safety
- Important: Adjust the product after installation is complete. Ensure all equipment is properly installed before making adjustments. The product should move smoothly and stay in the desired position. If movements are too easy or difficult, follow the adjustment instructions.
- Caution: Do not overtighten fasteners. Overtightening may cause damage to your equipment.
- Warning: Stored Energy Hazard: The arm mechanism is under tension. Do not remove equipment unless the arm has been moved to the highest position. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury and/or equipment damage.
- Weight Capacity: Do not exceed the maximum listed weight capacity (7 - 25 lbs / 3.2 - 11.3 kg). Serious injury or property damage may occur.
- Cable Slack: Leave enough slack in the cable to allow full range of motion. Follow cable routing instructions to avoid pinching cables, which can cause equipment damage or personal injury.
