Important Safety Information
IMPORTANT: READ ALL WARNINGS AND INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE INSTALLATION, OPERATION, SERVICE, OR MAINTENANCE. FAILURE TO DO SO CAN RESULT IN DEATH, PERSONAL INJURY, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE. For assistance, contact Signify TSC@signify.com or call 1-833-744-6439.
Installation, service, and maintenance must be performed by a qualified professional familiar with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and electrical codes. If not qualified, do not attempt.
To reduce the risk of death, personal injury, or property damage from fire, electric shock, falling parts, cuts, abrasions, and other hazards, read all warnings and instructions included with the luminaire, on its packaging, and affixed to the luminaire itself.
Luminaire maintenance should be performed by individuals familiar with the luminaire's construction, operation, and associated hazards.
WARNING: RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK, OR PERSONAL INJURY
- Disconnect or turn off power before any installation, service, or maintenance.
- Verify supply voltage matches the luminaire label.
- Make all electrical and ground connections according to the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable laws/codes.
- Use UL-approved wire connectors for all wiring.
WARNING: RISK OF FIRE OR PERSONAL INJURY
- Keep combustible materials away from the LED/lamp and lens.
- Do not operate near persons, combustible materials, or substances affected by heat or drying.
WARNING: RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK, OR PERSONAL INJURY
- Wear gloves ? and safety glasses ? at all times during handling, installation, and servicing.
- Avoid direct eye exposure to the light source while it is on.
WARNING: RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK, OR PERSONAL INJURY
- Allow the LED/lamp and lens to cool before handling.
- Do not touch the enclosure or light source.
- Do not exceed the maximum wattage marked on the luminaire label.
- Follow all manufacturer warnings, recommendations, instructions, and restrictions for driver type, burning position, mounting locations, and replacement.
CAUTION: RISK OF PRODUCT DAMAGE
- Never connect luminaires or components under load with the supply voltage on.
- Do not mount or support luminaires in a way that can cut outer jacket or damage wire insulation.
- Do not restrict fixture ventilation; allow airspace for cooling. Avoid covering with insulation or foam that prevents convection or conduction cooling.
- Do not exceed the luminaire's maximum ambient temperature.
- Do not modify the luminaire.
- Use the luminaire only in its intended application and location.
- LED products are polarity sensitive; ensure proper polarity before installation.
- Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) can damage LEDs. Wear personal grounding equipment during installation and servicing.
- Do not touch individual electrical components, as this can cause ESD, shorten LED life, or impact performance.
- Some internal components may not be serviceable. If service is required, stop using the luminaire immediately and contact Signify.
- Always read the complete luminaire installation instructions for specific warnings.
- For HID or Fluorescent luminaires, regular re-lamping is required to maintain safe operating limits.
- Do not install a damaged product. Handling damaged products can increase risks.
- These instructions do not cover all details or variations. Refer to specific installation and maintenance instructions for additional warnings or regulatory statements. Failure to follow instructions may void warranties.
Luminaire Maintenance
- Regular maintenance programs are recommended.
- Clean the exterior of the luminaire and the refractor/lens.
- Cleaning frequency depends on ambient dirt levels and acceptable minimum light output.
- If clean water is insufficient, use a neutral, synthetic, non-scratching, non-abrasive cleaning substance.
- Never use alkaline or acetous cleaning substances.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove cleaning substance.
- Signify recommends cleaning solutions with a pH between 5 and 8.
- Recycle electronic products and components: visit www.epa.gov.
