Packing List
The package includes:
- Battery Charger
- Hexagon Wrench
- NFC Card x 2
- Extended Nozzle Adapter
- M5 Screw x7 *1 Spare
Note: All pictures are for reference only. Actual product may vary.
Assembly
Step 1: Securely fasten the folding mechanism. Take care to prevent wire pinching.
Step 2: Insert the handlebar into the stem, making sure that the headlight is facing forward.
Step 3: Install the six screws with the hexagon wrench.
Activation
CAUTION: Speed is limited to 15km/h (9.3mph) by default. To remove speed restriction, activate the NIU App or ride 200m (1/8mi).
Step 1: Open the charging port cover, connect the scooter to a power outlet using the power supply (included), and activate the battery.
Step 2: Place NFC card on the dashboard to power on the scooter.
Step 3: Scan QR code to download the NIU app and register/log in.
Step 4: Use the NIU app to scan the pairing QR code in the Quick Start to pair the scooter.
Step 5: After watching or skipping the teaching guide, the scooter will be activated.
Step 6: After activating the scooter, the speed limit will be lifted, and you can switch to S mode.
Power on and off
Method 1: Place NFC card on the dashboard to power on/off.
Method 2: When the scooter is connected to the app, use the app button to power on/off.
Method 3: Enable the NIU Link unlock feature in the app. It will automatically unlock when your phone is nearby and lock when your phone is away. Press and hold the power button to turn the scooter on/off after unlocking.
Riding Instructions
Before riding: Check battery level, tire pressure and folding mechanism before riding.
Starting: Place one foot on the deck and use the other foot to propel yourself forward to begin riding.
Acceleration: Maintain a stable stance with both feet on the deck. Twist the throttle to accelerate. Note: The motor will only engage once the gliding speed reaches 4km/h (2.5mph).
Deceleration: Decelerate by releasing the throttle and engaging the brakes.
Turning: To turn, shift your body and gently steer the handlebars. Be mindful of road conditions and leave enough space for turning.
Braking: When braking abruptly, there is a risk of serious danger or injury. It is important to maintain a moderate speed and watch out for potential hazards.
Safety Precautions:
- Always keep your both hands on the handlebar when riding.
- Do not ride the scooter with only one hand or one foot.
- Do not keep your feet on the rear fender.
- Do not ride on stairs or jump over obstacles.
- Do not pass at high speed when encountering uneven road surfaces or speed bumps.
- Do not ride indoors.
- Avoid obstacles while riding. Turn on the headlights when riding in the dark.
- Do not make large steering adjustments during high-speed riding.
- Do not hang heavy objects on the handlebar as it will affect the scooter's stability.
- Do not twist the throttle while walking alongside the scooter.
- Do not touch the disc brake after riding.
- Please avoid riding in the rain. Braking distance will be extended in wet weather, so ride carefully.
- Only use the original charger provided by Niu for charging. Do not use any other type of chargers.
- Do not charge when the charging port, charger, or power socket is wet.
- Do not charge or continue using the battery if the battery is damaged or flooded.
- Close the charging port cover when not charging.
- Do not charge outdoors.
- Do not ride while charging.
Folding and Carrying
Folding:
- Lift the safety latch and open the folding lever. Then, pull the stem to fold.
- Align the hook and the fender buckle, then push down to lock.
- Close the folding lever.
Carrying: After folding, hold the handlebar stem with either one hand or both hands to carry.
Unfolding: Push the rear buckle to unlock and unfold the stem.

Warnings
- Helmet, elbow pads and knee pads are required when riding.
- Do not carry any passengers, including children.
- Follow local regulations. Do not ride on highways or sidewalks.
- Do not ride in water deeper than 2cm (1").
- Do not accelerate downhill.
- Please avoid riding in the rain. Braking distance will be extended in wet weather, so ride carefully.
