Assembly Steps

Follow these steps carefully to assemble your MALM chest of drawers:

1. Step 1: Attach the side panels to the base using the provided screws and dowels. Ensure the correct orientation as shown in the diagram. (Parts: 18x dowels, 2x cam locks, 16x cam lock screws, 2x side panels, 1x base panel).
2. Step 2: Insert dowels into the pre-drilled holes on the side panels. (Parts: 12x dowels).
3. Step 3: Attach the drawer runners to the side panels using screws. (Parts: 2x drawer runner sets, 6x drawer front/back supports).
4. Step 4: Insert dowels into the top panel. (Parts: 1x top panel, 18x dowels).
5. Step 5: Attach the vertical supports to the base and side panels. (Parts: 5x vertical supports).
6. Step 6: Secure the vertical supports with cam locks. (Parts: 5x cam locks, 5x cam lock screws).
7. Step 7: Slide the back panels into the grooves on the side and vertical supports.
8. Step 8: Secure the back panels with cam locks. (Parts: 1x cam lock, 1x cam lock screw).
9. Step 9: Attach the metal brackets to the top panel for wall anchoring. (Parts: 2x metal brackets, 8x springs, 8x screws, 36x screws).
10. Step 10: Attach the metal brackets to the top panel.
11. Step 11: Attach the metal brackets to the top panel.
12. Step 12: Place the top panel onto the assembled frame.
13. Step 13: Secure the top panel with screws. (Parts: 6x screws).
14. Step 14: Attach the metal brackets to the top panel.
15. Step 15: Secure the top panel with screws. (Parts: 4x screws).
16. Step 16: Attach the support bars to the sides. (Parts: 2x support bars).
17. Step 17: Place the drawer bottom panel onto the supports.
18. Step 18: Secure the drawer bottom panel with screws. (Parts: 2x screws).
19. Step 19: Assemble the drawer boxes. (Parts: 6x screws).
20. Step 20: Attach the drawer runners to the drawer boxes. (Parts: 3x drawer runners).
21. Step 21: Attach the drawer runners to the drawer boxes. (Parts: 3x drawer runners).
22. Step 22: Insert dowels into the drawer front panels. (Parts: 2x dowels).
23. Step 23: Attach the drawer front panels to the drawer boxes.
24. Step 24: Secure the drawer front panels with cam locks. (Parts: 2x cam locks).
25. Step 25: Attach the anti-tip bracket to the top of the chest. (Parts: 2x anti-tip brackets).
26. Step 26: Secure the anti-tip bracket to the wall.
27. Step 27: Secure the anti-tip bracket to the wall.
28. Step 28: Place the top drawer into the chest.
29. Step 29: Secure the top drawer with screws. (Parts: 4x screws).
30. Step 30: Assemble the remaining drawer boxes.
31. Step 31: Secure the drawer boxes with screws. (Parts: 1x screw).
32. Step 32: Secure the drawer boxes with screws. (Parts: 1x screw).
33. Step 33: Secure the drawer boxes with screws. (Parts: 1x screw).

35. Step 35: Attach the anti-tip bracket to the wall.
36. Step 36: Position the chest against the wall.

38. Step 38: Secure the chest to the wall using the anti-tip device.
