Tools needed for assembly: Phillips head screwdriver, flat-head screwdriver, hammer.

Assembly Guidelines

Follow these instructions carefully to assemble your MALM chest of drawers. Ensure all parts are present before starting. Two people may be required for certain steps.

Important Safety Notes:

• Do not assemble if parts are damaged or missing.
• Ensure correct orientation of parts as shown in diagrams.
• Avoid overtightening screws.
• The unit must be secured to the wall to prevent tipping (wall anchoring hardware not included).

Please verify you have all the following parts:

• 12x Screw (Part 110519)
• 12x Cam lock screw (Part 118331)
• 12x Wooden dowel (Part 101345)
• 12x Cam lock (Part 120076)
• 4x Screw (Part 105344)
• 18x Screw (Part 100365)
• 6x Screw (Part 115339)
• 2x Drawer runner (Part 148601)
• 6x Drawer runner (Part 123833)

Assembly Steps

Step 1: Base Assembly

Attach the base panel to the two side panels. Insert 8x cam lock screws (118331) into the base panel. Insert 8x wooden dowels (101345) into the side panels. Connect the side panels to the base panel, ensuring dowels and screws align with corresponding holes.

Step 2: Back Panel Attachment

Position the back panel. Insert 8x wooden dowels (101345) into the side panels. Insert 8x cam locks (120076) into the base panel. Slide the back panel into the grooves on the side and base panels. Secure by turning the cam locks clockwise [⚙️].

Step 3: Top Panel Attachment

Attach the top panel. Insert 8x cam lock screws (118331) into the top edges of the side panels. Insert 8x cam locks (120076) into the underside of the top panel. Place the top panel onto the unit and secure by turning the cam locks clockwise [⚙️].

Step 4: Drawer Divider Installation

Insert the drawer divider panels into the pre-drilled slots in the side and top/base panels. Ensure they are fully seated.

Step 5: Top Drawer Divider Attachment

Attach the top drawer divider panel using 2x screws (110519).

Step 6: Side Drawer Divider Attachment

Attach the side drawer divider panels using 2x screws (110519) for each panel.

Step 7: Back Support Panel

Attach the back support panel to the rear of the unit using 6x screws (115339).

Step 8: Drawer Runner Installation (Cabinet)

Attach the drawer runners to the inside of the cabinet side panels. Use 4x screws (105344) in total, with 2 screws per runner. Ensure the runners are oriented correctly as per the diagram.

Step 9: Drawer Box Assembly

Assemble each of the 6 drawer boxes. For each drawer:

• Attach drawer sides to the drawer front: Insert 1x wooden dowel (101345) into the drawer side. Insert 1x cam lock screw (118331) into the drawer front. Insert 1x cam lock (120076) into the drawer side. Connect the parts and turn the cam lock to secure.
• Attach drawer sides to the drawer back: Insert 1x wooden dowel (101345) into the drawer side. Insert 1x cam lock screw (118331) into the drawer back. Insert 1x cam lock (120076) into the drawer side. Connect the parts and turn the cam lock to secure.
• Slide the drawer bottom panel into the grooves on the drawer sides, front, and back.
• Secure the drawer back to the drawer bottom using 3x screws (100365).
• Secure the drawer front to the drawer bottom using 3x screws (100365).
• Repeat for all 6 drawers.

Step 10: Insert Drawers

Carefully slide the assembled drawers into the cabinet, aligning them with the runners.

Step 11: Final Check

Ensure all screws are tightened and the unit is stable. For safety, it is recommended to anchor the unit to the wall using appropriate hardware.
