Features
Lower display brightness
The DTC 4 is mainly used during night, where it is important to emit as less light as possible, so that animals cannot notice the hunter. We significantly decreased the brightness of the display with this update.
Change of naming for icon optimization
The icon optimization is renamed, as the magnification stated does not fit with all riflescopes. Therefore, we renamed the 3 states:
Before Update | 3x | 6x | 9x |
---|---|---|---|
After Update | large | medium | small |
Shortcut to check correct alignment
While with the ZEISS Adapters, an absolute repeatability when mounting and unmounting the DTC is given. However, sometimes there is still a small uncertainty in the mind of the hunter. To reduce this uncertainty to zero, with this update we introduce a shortcut that enables the hunter to quickly review if the scope and the DTC are still aligned. By pressing the right arrow and the menu button at the same time, the device shows a grey screen (no live picture is seen) with a white reticle for 5 seconds. After the 5 seconds the device is back in normal operating mode.

Battery charge state adjusted
With this update we fix the issue that the battery symbol does not correlate with the actual status of the battery.
Fix for automatic standby
If automatic standby is activated, the device automatically enters the standby mode when inclined lateral over 45° or downwards/upwards over 70°. However, when inclined lateral over 135° the device will switch back on. With this update, we fix this issue, so that the device stays in standby mode, even when turned 180°. With that, the hunter can now rest the gun on two points, while the riflescope is hanging downwards.
