Cycle Guide - Normal Cycle
The dryer senses moisture in the load or air temperature and shuts off when the load reaches the selected dryness level. The exact cycle times will vary depending on the load size and type.
Items to Dry:
Work clothes, casual wear, mixed cottons, sheets, corduroys
Cycle:
Normal
How to Dry:
Medium heat is used to dry large loads of mixed fabrics and items. Normal is the most efficient cycle.
Cycle Status Indicators:
- Sensing: Moisture sensor is operating.
- Wet: Load is still wet or cycle just started.
- Damp: Load has remaining moisture; good for ironing.
- Cool Down: Dryer is tumbling without heat to cool the load.
- End: Cycle has ended; load may be removed.
- Check Vent: Indicates potential airflow issue. Refer to troubleshooting.
Options:
- Wrinkle Prevent: Adds periodic tumbling to reduce wrinkling if the load cannot be removed immediately.
- Reduce Static: Adds moisture to help reduce static.
- Steam: Adds steam to help smooth wrinkles (steam models only).
- Cycle Signal: Turns the end-of-cycle signal on or off.
- Control Lock: Locks the controls to prevent unintended changes. Touch and hold for 3 seconds to lock/unlock.
- Extra Power: Adds 10 minutes of cycle time for harder-to-dry loads.
