⚠️ IMPORTANT: Do not load batteries until the lock is completely installed.
1. Prepare the Door and Check Dimensions
Before installing the lock, check your door jamb and door preparation.
- Door Thickness: 1-3/8" to 2" (35mm to 50mm).
- Backset: 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" (60 mm or 70 mm).
- Hole Diameter: 1" (25 mm) for the latch.
- Edge Bore: 1-1/2" or 2-1/8" (38 mm or 54mm) for the latch.
Detailed Checks:
- Hole Dimension: Measure the dimension of the hole shown. If the measurement is 1-1/2"(38mm), remove the fire cup.
- Backset: Measure to confirm that the backset is either 2-3/8" or 2-3/4"(60 or 70mm).
- Hole in Door: Measure to confirm that the hole in the door is 1"(25mm).
- Door Thickness: Measure to confirm that door thickness is between 1-3/8" and 2" (35mm to 50mm).
2. Choose Faceplate
Select the appropriate faceplate for your door. The latch mechanism can be adjusted for different backsets and door hole centering.
Is the slotted hole centered in the door hole?
- YES: No adjustment is required. Proceed to the next step.
- NO: Slotted hole is NOT centered. Rotate and pull the latch as shown to extend the latch.
Hold the latch in front of the door hole, with the latch face flush against the door edge to check centering.
3. Install Latch and Deadbolt
Install the latch mechanism into the door edge. Ensure it is oriented correctly.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Keep the latch in unlocked position before installation.
- An incorrect installation with the latch in the locked position (marked with a red 'X' ❌).
- A correct installation with the latch in the unlocked position (marked with a green checkmark ✔️).
4. Install Exterior Assembly
Mount the exterior part of the smart lock onto the door.
- Attaching the exterior keypad unit to the door.
- Routing the connecting cable below the latch.
- IMPORTANT NOTE: The bolt must be in the unlock position. Note the horizontal orientation of the torque blade.
- Securing the mounting plate with supplied screws. The cable should be routed through the hole in the mounting plate.
- The diagram shows the exterior assembly aligned parallel to the door edge.
5. Install Interior Assembly
Attach the interior assembly and connect the power.
- Remove the battery cover.
- Connect the cable from the exterior assembly to the interior assembly, ensuring a tight connection.
- Rotate the thumb turn to the vertical position and insert the torque blade into the inside escutcheon, ensuring horizontal orientation.
- Secure the interior assembly with the supplied screws.
- Test the lock by rotating the thumb turn to ensure the bolt extends and retracts smoothly.
- A "Module (optional)" connection point is also indicated.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Do not load batteries until lock is completely installed.
6. Detect Left/Right Hand Door Installation & Battery Installation
This step is crucial for the lock to learn its orientation and function correctly.
- Battery Installation: Keep the lock in "unlock" status and insert 4 AA batteries into the battery pack.
- Reset and Orientation Learning: Use a sharp object (like the Reset Tool) to press and hold the reset button for more than 5 seconds until a long "BEEP" is heard.
- If the reset is successful, the latch bolt will extend on its own to learn the orientation of the door.
- Strike Installation: Install the strike plate on the door frame. Ensure the hole in the door frame is drilled a minimum of 1" (25mm) deep. Strike Screws (e) are used for this.

Information and Safety Warnings
- Protect your user codes and master code.
- Restrict access to your lock's interior assembly and routinely check your settings to ensure they have not been altered without your knowledge.
- This lockset is designed to provide the highest standard of product quality and performance. Care should be taken to ensure a long-lasting finish. When cleaning is required, use a soft and damp cloth. Using lacquer thinner, caustic soaps, abrasive cleaners, or polishes could damage the coating and result in tarnishing.
PIN Code Restrictions:
Both master and user PIN codes do not support the following combinations:
- Forward number sequence (e.g., 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9) ❌
- Backward number sequence (e.g., 9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1) ✔️ (Note: The PDF shows a checkmark here, which might be an error in the original document, as backward sequences are typically restricted. Assuming it's a typo and should be restricted like forward sequence.)
- Repeat number sequence (e.g., 2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2) ❌
- Contain existing code sequence (e.g., 5-6-8-3 followed by 5-6-8-3) ❌
Z-Wave™ Module Pairing Instructions
(Optional network module required)
Z-Wave™ pairing setting can only be programmed through the Master Mode Menu at the Lock.
- Follow the user guide of your Smart Hub or Network gateway to enter Learning or Pairing Mode.
- Touch Keypad screen with your hand to activate lock.
- Enter master mode.
