Portable Device Usage and RF Exposure Information (SAR)

This device is designed for portable use, with considerations for exposure when used within 20cm of the body. For devices marketed in the US, country code selection is restricted to US operation channels only.

The device meets government requirements for exposure to radio frequency (RF) energy and is designed not to exceed FCC emission limits. The Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) is used to measure exposure. The limits are 1.6W/Kg for face-to-face use and 4.0W/Kg for wrist-worn use.

Tests are conducted using standard operating positions accepted by the FCC. The actual SAR level may be lower than the maximum certified power level, as the device operates at multiple power levels to conserve energy. The highest reported SAR values for this model are 0.434W/Kg when used near the mouth and 0.993W/Kg when worn on the wrist.

For body-worn operation, this device has been tested and meets FCC RF exposure guidelines when used with an accessory that contains no metal and is positioned a minimum of 10 cm from the body. Use of other accessories may not ensure compliance.

15.105 (b): This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation.
