Troubleshooting Remote Connection
If the remote does not connect to the strip's controller, re-pair it using these steps:
- Turn off the power for approximately 5 seconds by disconnecting the power supply from the outlet.
- Reconnect the power supply to the outlet. Immediately press the ON button on the remote 3 or more times in quick succession.
- Successful pairing is indicated when the strip lights up green and flashes rapidly a few times. If unsuccessful, repeat the process until the strip is paired.
Setting Up
Please read, follow, and understand this entire manual before attempting to assemble, operate, or install this product. Save these instructions.
- Once the final mounting position is determined, clean the surface to ensure the self-adhesive backing adheres properly. The mounting surface must be smooth, dry, and free from oils and waxes for correct adhesion. For best results, apply the strip at a room temperature between 68-86°F (20-30°C). The Mosaic strips can be installed on curved and irregular surfaces, but avoid sharp bends to prevent damage to the light strip.
- Measure the length of the area where the flex strip will be placed. Each flex strip is 2 feet long. If a strip is too long, shorten it by cutting at one of the lines indicated by the [scissors] icon. Connect all elements together and apply power to test the strip before final mounting.
- Note: Once cut, a section of flex strip cannot be reconnected to other strips or the universal connector.
- Note: A maximum of 10 strips can be connected for a total length of 20 feet.
- Use a connector if wrapping the light strip around a corner. Connectors help prevent crimping or permanent damage to the light strip.
- Remove the protective layer from the back of the flex strip. Carefully place each strip in the final mounting position, as the adhesive is permanent and the strip cannot be easily moved.
- Press the flex strip firmly in place and hold for 5 seconds to ensure the adhesive bonds to the mounting surface. Make sure each flex strip is tightly connected to the next before continuing.
- Connect the controller to the flex strip. Ensure the arrow icon on the controller connector matches the '12V+' marking on the connecting strip.
- Connect the AC/DC Adapter to the controller.
- Plug the AC/DC Adapter into the power outlet.
- To turn the strips on, remove the clear pull tab from the remote to allow the battery to make contact. Press the ON button on the remote to light up the strips.
