Product Overview
The D-Link DXS-F3610 Series Layer 3 10G Managed Switches are compact, high-performance switches featuring ultralow latency, with 10G Ethernet switching and routing. The 1U height and front-to-back airflow make them suitable for Enterprise and campus aggregation network environments. The series is available in two configurations: 48 fixed 10G SFP+ with 6 fixed 100G QSFP28, or 48 fixed 10G Base-T with 6 fixed 100G QSFP28. 100G ports allow for flexible uplink configurations.

Performance, Availability, and Redundancy
The DXS-F3610 Series offers high-performance 10G Ethernet switching capacity up to 2.16 Tbps with forwarding rates up to 1607 Mpps. It features hot-swappable power supplies and fan trays for redundant, high-availability architecture. The modular power design supports AC or DC sources, distributing load for extended module lifetime. A modular fan back-up design provides N+1 redundancy, with smart fans adjusting speed based on temperature.
Flexible Software
The DXS-F3610 Series can be deployed as a CORE switch. It supports a wide range of Layer 2, VLAN, multicasting, Quality of Service (QoS), security, data center, and static routing protocols, including RIP, VRRP, and OSPF. Comprehensive IPv4/v6 routing, BGP, and L3 multicasting features (IGMP, SM, SSM) enable deployment as a core router or aggregation switch in enterprise environments.
Software-Defined Networking (SDN)
By supporting SDN, the DXS-F3610 Series provides network operators with greater flexibility and control. SDN separates the control plane from the data plane, allowing infrastructure management via open protocols like OpenFlow. This enables centrally managed, agile networks, abstraction of cloud resources, and simplified network operations.
Switch and Link Failover
In addition to traditional Spanning Tree Protocols (STP, RSTP, MSTP), the DXS-F3610 Series supports advanced Ethernet failover redundancy technologies like Ethernet Ring Protection Switching (ERPS) for millisecond-level failover in ring topologies. Up-Link Failover Detection (UFD) provides link redundancy without STP or LBD.
Advanced Security and Reliability
The series includes multi-layer Access Control Lists (ACLs) and 802.1X user authentication via TACACS+ and RADIUS. Extensive VLAN support (GVRP, MVRP, 802.1Q) enhances security and performance. Robust QoS features prioritize critical network services like Voice over IP and video conferences. These features increase reliability, serviceability, and availability by preventing traffic flooding from malicious attacks.
Versatile Management
The DXS-F3610 Series offers an industry-standard Command Line Interface (CLI) for setup and remote management. SNMP support enables centralized management of multiple devices. Out-of-band management is available via a dedicated console port and Management Ethernet Port. The RJ-45 console port allows management without additional connections. A USB Type A port connects to storage devices for logs, configurations, and firmware. DHCP auto-configuration and auto-image features simplify mass deployment. Essential OpenFlow 1.4 features allow management through an OpenFlow controller.
