Device Diagram and Wiring
The Wi-Fi Smart Switch is a compact unit. On its top surface, controls are labeled '/Reset', '/RF pairing', and '/Manual switch'. A 'Network indicator' light is situated on the side of the device. The switch has input terminals marked 'L' [Live Terminal] and 'N' [Neutral Terminal] designed for AC 85-250V power input. It also features output terminals. The accompanying diagram illustrates the AC power source connected to the input terminals, and the output terminals connected to a light bulb, demonstrating a typical setup for controlling a light.
Functionality Notes
- If the Wi-Fi network connection is lost, the switch will automatically revert to Bluetooth control via your phone.
- You can control the device by tapping the on/off buttons within the app. Manual control actions performed directly on the switch can also be reflected and displayed in real-time on the app.
APP Functionality
The Tuya Smart app provides comprehensive control and monitoring for the Wi-Fi Smart Switch. The main interface can display current environmental data, such as the ambient temperature (e.g., "30°C") and humidity levels (e.g., "63.0%").
Key features include:
- Autowork Mode: An "Autowork" toggle allows you to enable automatic control based on predefined temperature or humidity thresholds.
- Switch Control: A "Switch" button [Power Button] is available for manual on/off control of the connected appliance.
Additional functions are accessible through dedicated icons:
- [Timer/Cutedown Icon] Timer/Cutedown: Set schedules and timers for the device's operation.
- [Statistics/Humidity/Energy Icon] Statistics/Humidity/Energy: View historical data, including usage statistics, humidity readings, or energy consumption reports.
- [Set Icon] Set: Access a settings menu to configure various parameters:
- Temperature range
- Delay to turn on
- Turn on alert
- Temperature unit setting
- Temperature calibration
A prompt suggests tapping a specific area to enter the full function operation interface for advanced settings.
Remote Control Matching
This section details how to pair a compatible RF remote control with the Wi-Fi Smart Switch.
Matching Procedure:
- Press and hold the RF Pairing button on the switch for 3 seconds. The RF pairing indicator [Blue Indicator Light] on the switch will illuminate, indicating it is in pairing mode.
- Immediately press and hold the specific button on the remote control that you wish to assign to the switch.
- Release both the switch's RF Pairing button and the remote control button. Successful matching is confirmed when the indicator light behavior changes or the remote control functions as expected.
Clearing Paired Codes:
To remove all paired remote controls, press and hold the RF pairing button on the switch for 15 seconds. During this time, the RF pairing indicator will remain constantly lit. Release the button once the indicator light turns off. Note: This matching and clearing functionality is specifically available for switches or modules that incorporate an RF function.
