Aquaguard Delight NXT Water Purifier

User Manual and Technical Specifications

Welcome and Heritage

Congratulations on your purchase of the Delight NXT Storage Water Purifier, backed by the latest technological innovation from Aquaguard. This purifier provides protection against water-borne diseases caused by bacteria, viruses, and cysts. We recommend reading this user manual carefully before use. For any assistance, Eureka Forbes is just a call away.

Installation Guide

Installation must be performed by a trained Eureka Forbes Service Technician.

  1. Input water must be tested for Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) and Total Hardness.
  2. Install the purifier in a dry, ventilated place, away from direct sunlight, heating devices, or freezing temperatures. It can be placed on a kitchen counter or wall-mounted, ensuring the area is free of pests.
  3. Ensure input tap water temperature is between 10°C - 40°C. Avoid connecting to a hot water tap.
  4. Input water pressure requirements: 0.3-2 kg/cm² for UV+UF models, and 0.3-3 kg/cm² for RO+UV+TA and RO+UV+UF+TA models. A Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) is mandatory if pressure exceeds the limit, and a booster pump is recommended if it's below the limit (accessories available at extra cost).
  5. Flush filters thoroughly for 3-5 minutes to remove fine particles before installation.
  6. After installation, run the purifier for 5-10 minutes and drain the water.

Input Water Quality Limitations:

  • If iron content exceeds 0.3 mg/L, an iron remover is recommended.
  • If turbidity exceeds 5 NTU or contains colloidal particles, a special pre-filter is required.
  • If TDS exceeds 1,000 ppm or hardness exceeds 300 ppm, a Membrane Life Enhancer is recommended.
  • Do not install if TDS exceeds the prescribed technical specifications.

Water Flow Diagram Description: Raw water enters through the inlet, passes through a hybrid diverter valve, then sequentially through an i-Filter™, Chemi-block filter, UF cartridge, UV e-boiling lamp, and Post Carbon Cartridge before reaching the purified water storage tank.

Purification Process (UV+UF)

Stage Treatment Material Benefits
1. i-Filter™ Multi-Layered Polypropylene Roving Wound Cartridge Removes suspended particles such as dirt, dust, mud, and sand from water.
2. Chemi-block (with built-in Particle Trap Filter) Dust-free Bacteriostatic Activated Carbon block filter cartridge with built-in Particle Trap Filter Adsorbs colour, odour, excess chlorine & organic impurities. Removes fine turbidity and entraps any released micro particles.
3. Ultra Filtration UF hollow fibre Imparts crystal clear clarity and makes water safe from bacteriological contamination.
4. UV e-boiling Germicidal UV Lamp Disinfects water by eliminating waterborne disease-causing bacteria, viruses & protozoa.
5. Post Carbon Cartridge Carbon block filter Removes residual organic impurities and revives the original taste of water, making it pure and great to taste.

Maintenance and Safety

MTDS Regulator Operating Procedure

The TDS modulator adjusts the TDS level of output water. It is factory set to a fully closed mode. Loosening the spindle (anti-clockwise) increases TDS, while tightening (clockwise) reduces it. Adjustment depends on input water TDS and RO membrane capacity. This adjustment should be performed by an authorized Eureka Forbes technician.

Do's and Don'ts

Do's:

  • Turn off the main switch if not using the purifier for more than 3-4 hours.
  • Store purified water in clean containers; preferably use within 2 days for hygiene.
  • Schedule routine check-ups every 6 months.
  • If the purifier has been unused for a long time, run 2-3 glasses of water before collecting for use.

Don'ts:

  • Do not spill water on any panel to avoid shock.
  • Do not use detergents, soap, or wet cloth for cleaning external parts; use a dry, soft cloth.
  • Do not store purified water in matkas or candle filters, as it can get re-contaminated.
  • Do not connect ordinary pipes or tubing to the outlet spout.
  • Do not use an extension box for power connection.
  • Do not open the unit while it is functioning.
  • Do not cover the product with plastic or cloth, as it may cause damage.

Cleaning and Disinfection of Water Storage Tank

The storage tank must be cleaned periodically (at least once every 30 days) using a disinfectant. Disinfection Tablets can be purchased from an authorized Eureka Forbes Service Centre.

  1. Drain the tank completely.
  2. Switch off the water purifier from the main power supply.
  3. Open the top cover and wipe the inside with a dry, clean soft cloth.
  4. Keep the top cover in place.
  5. Switch the power supply ON.
  6. Let the tank fill, then drop one Disinfection Tablet* into the tank. (Keep tablets away from children; do not ingest.)
  7. Keep the top cover in place and leave for 30 minutes.
  8. After 30 minutes, open the tap and discard this water and the first filling water completely. (Do not drink this water.)
  9. The unit is now ready for use. If any medicinal taste/smell is noticed, drain and refill the tank.
  10. This process should be performed by an authorized technician during installation and mandatory servicing.

Tips for Safety and Maintenance

  • Read and understand the purifier's functions before use.
  • Installation and service must be conducted by authorized Eureka Forbes personnel only.
  • Contact an authorized service centre immediately for any damage or incorrect functioning.
  • Wastewater is not suitable for drinking; it can be used for gardening or cleaning floors.
  • Drain the tank if water has not been used for over 48 hours.
  • Ensure the flow restrictor is checked and replaced by a technician during mandatory service.
  • Consumable cartridges should be replaced by a trained Eureka Forbes technician after approximately 6,000 litres of water usage.
  • Use only genuine Eureka Forbes filter cartridges and spares.
