Lithonia Lighting WL2 LED Wall Bracket & Surface Mount Luminaire
Features & Specifications
Intended Use: Designed for wall or ceiling mounting, vertically or horizontally. The WL series combines digital LED lighting and controls technologies with high-performance optical design for advanced wall-mount ambient lighting. It features a high-efficacy light engine for long life and excellent color quality, ensuring an efficient and sustainable lighting installation.
Construction: Housing is roll-formed from code-gauge steel. The refractor is retained in die-cast ends for secure installation and easy maintenance. Decorative die-cast end caps add durability. End caps are post-painted in white polyester powder coat for a smooth finish. Post-painted channel is available via the PAF option.
Optics: Features an impact-modified linear faceted refractor, optically engineered for superior light distribution and maximum efficacy. A crescent-shape linear faceted refractor system obscures and integrates individual LED images, uniformly washing the fixture surface with light.
Electrical: Utilizes long-life LEDs coupled with high-efficiency drivers for superior illumination quality and extended service life. It offers 90% LED lumen maintenance at 60,000 hours (L90/60,000) and an LED CRI of 82. eldoLED driver options provide choices for dimming range and control, ensuring flicker-free operation, low-current inrush, 89% efficiency, and low EMI. A driver disconnect is provided where required by US and Canadian codes. Optional nLight® embedded controls continuously monitor system performance and allow for constant lumen management. The Lumen Management system (option N80) actively manages the LED light source to maintain constant lumen output over the system's life, preventing energy waste from over-lighting.
Sensors:
- Integrated Sensor (Individual Control): Sensor Switch MSD7 (Passive Infrared (PIR)) integrated occupancy sensor with photocell allows the luminaire to power off when the space is unoccupied.
- Integrated Sensor (nLight Wired Networking): nLight-enabled sensor communicates over an nLight network. When wired with CAT-5 cabling to other nLight-enabled devices (sensors, power packs, WallPods), an nLight control zone is created. Remote status monitoring and control are possible via SensorView software when linked to a Gateway.
- Integrated Smart Sensor (nLight AIR Wireless Platform): RES7 sensor is nLight AIR enabled, communicating over the wireless nLight control platform. Available with an automatic dimming photocell and either a digital PIR or microphonics dual technology occupancy sensor. Pairs with other luminaires and wall switches via the CLAIRITY mobile app for simple sensor adjustment.
Listings: CSA certified to meet U.S. and Canadian standards. Suitable for damp locations. Patents pending. DesignLights Consortium® (DLC) qualified product (check DLC QPL for specific versions).

Sensor Coverage Pattern: Mini 360° Lens
Recommended for walking motion detection from mounting heights between 8 ft (2.44 m) and 20 ft (6.10 m).
- Initial detection of walking motion along sensor axes at distances of 2x the mounting height up to 15 ft (4.57 m) and 1.75x up to 20 ft (6.10 m).
- Provides 12 ft (3.66 m) radial detection of small motion when mounted at 9 ft (2.74 m).
- Initial detection occurs earlier when walking across the sensor's field of view than when walking directly at the sensor.
Diagram Description: A radial chart illustrates the 9 FT Mounting coverage pattern, showing detection distances (in feet) from the center at various angles. For example, at 9 ft mounting height, detection extends up to 12 ft radially for small motion.
Integrated Sensor Descriptions
Individual Control (MSD7): The MSD7 PIR occupancy sensor is ideal for areas without obstructions and where daylight harvesting may be desired. Suggested applications include hallways, corridors, storage rooms, and breakrooms or other areas where people are typically moving.
nLight Wired Networking (nES7, nES7ADCX, nESPDT7): The nES 7 is ideal for small rooms without obstructions or areas with primarily walking motion (hallways, corridors, storage rooms, breakrooms). The NES7ADCX includes an integrated photocell for daylight harvesting. For areas with obstructions like restrooms, private offices, open offices, or conference rooms, the nES PDT 7 dual technology sensor (PIR and Microphonics) is recommended.
nLight AIR Wireless (RES7, RES7PDT): nLight AIR is ideal for retrofit or new construction where additional wiring is difficult. The integrated RES7 or RES7PDT smart sensors are part of each luminaire in the nLight AIR network, allowing grouping for control of multiple luminaires. Digital PIR occupancy detection and daylight sensing offer granular control.
Sequence of Operation
Diagram Description: Two charts illustrate the sequence of operation based on motion and light levels. The first shows motion detection leading to lights ON, and no motion leading to lights OFF after a time delay. The second chart details transitions, showing lights ON when motion is detected, and transitioning to OFF after a time delay when no motion is detected. The automatic dimming photocell has a preset of 5fc.
