Installation and Mounting
The OPTIMA-S VAV controller requires specific installation considerations. Ensure minimum clearances are maintained:
- Minimum 150 mm clearance from the wall.
- Minimum 80 mm clearance from the ceiling.
Diagrams illustrate correct duct connections, including straight sections and bends. The effective diameter (D_eff) is calculated as (2×W×H)/(W+H), where W is width and H is height. Minimum straight duct length (L_min) should be 3 x D_eff.
The unit can be mounted in various orientations, as indicated by checkmarks in the diagrams.
Control Options and Connectivity
The OPTIMA-S offers several control options:
- OPTIMA-S...
- -BLC1
- -BLC4
- -BLC1MOD
- -BLC1LON
- -BLC1KNX
- -GO
- -GOMOD
Connectivity options include:
- ZTH-EU: For direct connection and control.
- NFC/Bluetooth: Via smartphone app (ZIP BT NFC) for wireless communication.
- BUS: For Modbus/BACnet communication.
- BMS: Integration with Building Management Systems.
Diagrams show the wiring for different controller types, including MP-Bus connections.
Electrical Connections and Signal Types
The OPTIMA-S supports various input and output signal types for control:
DC 0 V ... 10 V Control
Setpoint and Feedback: The controller accepts a 0-10 VDC signal for setpoint adjustment and provides a feedback signal. Graphs illustrate the relationship between voltage and airflow (q) for different scenarios (a-e, g).
DC 2 V ... 10 V Control
Setpoint and Feedback: Similar to the 0-10 VDC control, but with a 2-10 VDC range for setpoint and feedback. Graphs illustrate the airflow characteristics.
BUS Communication
-BLC1KNX, -BLC1LON, -BLC1MOD, -GOMOD: These models support BUS communication protocols like KNX, LON, Modbus, and BACnet. Wiring diagrams show connections for these communication types.
Graphs: Various graphs (a-e, g) illustrate the relationship between input voltage (U) and airflow (q) for different control modes and signal ranges (0-10V, 2-10V).
Technical Specifications and Operating Conditions
Operating Temperature: -20°C to +50°C
Operating Humidity: ≤ 95% RH (non-condensing)
Power Supply: AC 24 V / DC 24 V
Diagrams: Illustrate typical operating conditions and product handling.
