LEXIN B4FM Motorcycle Bluetooth Headset User Manual

This manual provides detailed instructions for the LEXIN B4FM Motorcycle Bluetooth Headset.

Introduction

Thank you for choosing the LEXIN B4FM Motorcycle Bluetooth 10-Way Conference Intercom. This headset features Bluetooth 5.0, hands-free calling, CVC/DSP noise reduction, USB-C fast charging, voice prompts, Siri/voice command support, navigation device connectivity, FM Radio, music playback, and universal intercom pairing with other manufacturers' devices. It supports music sharing and can connect up to 10 LX-B4FM devices with a theoretical range of 2 kilometers for 10 participants.

The LX-B4FM complies with Bluetooth Specification V5.0 and supports Headset Profile (HSP), Hands-Free Profile (HFP), and Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP). It is compatible with most Bluetooth headsets on the market.

Battery: The LX-B4FM has an 800mAh battery providing 15 hours of music playback or 15 hours of talk time. In standby mode, the battery life exceeds 1 week.

Function Priority: The headset operates in the following priority order: 1. Mobile phone, 2. Intercom, 3. Bluetooth stereo music, FM Radio/Navigation announcements. Lower priority functions are interrupted by higher priority functions (e.g., music is interrupted by intercom, and intercom is interrupted by an incoming phone call).

Safety Information: When riding a motorcycle, ensure that the use of helmet speakers complies with all local rules and regulations.

Package Contents

The package includes the main unit, headphones, microphones, various mounting options, charging cable, and user manual.

Installation Instructions

Mounting Bracket Installation

Option 1: Using Screws

  1. Insert the mounting bracket between the inner padding and the outer shell of the helmet.
  2. Secure the screws using the Allen wrench between the bracket and the clamp plate.
  3. Depending on the helmet rim thickness, add 0-2 rubber pads (A & B) as recommended. If needed, use the longer screws for the ABS spacer (C).

Option 2: Using 3M Adhesive Mount

  1. If not using screws and the clamp plate, attach the mount to the helmet using the 3M adhesive.
  2. Peel off the protective film from the double-sided 3M tape and attach the mount to the helmet.
  3. Press firmly for 15 seconds and allow the adhesive to cure for 24 hours.

Note: While the 3M adhesive mount is provided for convenience, LEXIN recommends using the screw-mounted bracket. The 3M adhesive mount is an option to be used at your own risk.

B4FM Main Unit Installation

  1. To mount the main unit, slide it downwards onto the bracket until it clicks securely into the lower part of the bracket.
  2. To remove the main unit from the base, use the provided ABS spacer. Insert the spacer between the main unit and the base, then push the main unit upwards to detach it.

Headphone Installation

Note: The speaker with the shorter cable is for the left ear, and the one with the longer cable is for the right ear to improve FM radio reception.

  1. Attach the hook-and-loop fastener surface of the speaker to the helmet's inner lining.
  2. Insert the speakers into the helmet's inner padding. If the helmet has deep ear pockets, use the provided headphone pads to position the speakers closer to your ears for better sound quality.
  3. Tuck away any excess headphone cable between the helmet padding and shell.

Note: Additional headphone pads are included to adjust speaker thickness and positioning for optimal sound quality in helmets with deeper ear pockets.

Microphone Installation

Note: The gooseneck microphone and button microphone can be used interchangeably with full-face or open-face helmets. Choose the microphone that best suits your preference and helmet type.

Full-Face Helmet / Button Microphone:

  1. Find a suitable area in the middle of the helmet's chin area and attach the hook-and-loop fastener surface.
  2. Attach the button microphone to the fastener.
  3. Connect the microphone to the headphone on the left side.

Open-Face Helmet / Gooseneck Microphone:

  1. Attach the hook-and-loop fastener surface to the left inner side of the helmet. Attach the gooseneck microphone to it.
  2. Adjust the microphone direction so the triangular mark points towards your mouth.
  3. If necessary, use a microphone holder for secure mounting.
