The B4FM operates according to the following priority:

  1. Mobile Phone

Note: Functions with lower priority may be limited when functions with higher priority are active. For example, music playback may be restricted when the intercom is active, and intercom function may be restricted when a call is received.

Please strictly comply with domestic laws and regulations regarding the operation of helmet-integrated speakers while riding.

Package Contents

The package includes the following items:

  • B4FM Main Unit
  • 36mm HD Ultra-Slim Speakers
  • Boom Microphone / Button Microphone
  • Boom Microphone Holder
  • Clamp Bracket
  • Clamp Plate
  • Additional Mounting Pad

  • Detachable Plate

Diagram Description: The diagram shows the B4FM main unit, speakers, microphones, various mounting brackets, cables, and pads. The main unit has buttons for power, volume up/down, and intercom, along with USB and Type-C ports. Speakers are slim and designed for helmet integration. Microphones are available in boom and button styles. Mounting options include clamp brackets and adhesive brackets.

Installation Guide

Mounting the Clamp Bracket on the Helmet

  1. Using the Clamp Bracket: Attach the clamp bracket and clamp plate to the inside and outside of the helmet as shown in the diagram. Secure them using the two included hex screws and the hex wrench.
  2. Note on Fit: Depending on the helmet's size and shape, additional rubber pads may be needed between the clamp plate and the helmet. Use the included extra rubber pads if necessary. If the helmet's lining requires a thicker bracket, additional pads can be attached to the existing pads as shown. Use the longer hex screws provided in this case.
  3. Using the Adhesive Bracket: If the clamp bracket cannot be used, the adhesive bracket (with 3M double-sided tape) can be attached to the helmet. Peel off the protective film from the double-sided tape and press the bracket onto the helmet surface for 15 seconds. Allow it to cure for at least one hour before use for complete adhesion.
  4. Note on Adhesive Bracket: While LEXIN provides an adhesive bracket for user convenience, the clamp bracket method using screws is recommended. The use of the adhesive bracket is at the user's own risk, and LEXIN is not responsible for any issues arising from its use.

Mounting the B4FM Unit onto the Bracket

Align the B4FM main unit with the bracket and slide it down until it clicks into place. To detach, insert the provided detachable plate between the bracket and the B4FM unit, then slide the unit upwards.

Installing the Speakers

Note: Ensure the shorter cable speaker is on the left and the longer cable speaker is on the right. Proper speaker placement is crucial for optimal radio reception.

  1. Attach one side of the speaker's velcro pad inside the helmet.
  2. Press the speaker firmly onto the velcro pad. If the helmet has deep ear pockets, use the included speaker pads to bring the speakers closer to your ears.
  3. Tuck the speaker cables neatly between the helmet's inner lining and outer shell.
  4. Note: Extra speaker pads are included for helmets with deep ear pockets. Attaching these pads to the speakers can increase their thickness, allowing for closer ear placement.

Installing the Microphone

Note: Depending on the helmet type (full-face or open-face), you can choose between the button microphone and the boom microphone for the best fit.

Full-Face Helmet - Button Microphone:

  1. Locate the center of the helmet's chin area and attach half of the microphone's velcro pad as shown.
  2. Attach the button microphone to the velcro pad.
  3. Connect the microphone to the headphone connector on the left side.

Open-Face Helmet - Boom Microphone:

  1. Attach half of the velcro pad to the underside of the microphone and the other half to the helmet's inner padding.
  2. Adjust the microphone's position so the triangular indicator faces your mouth.
  3. If necessary, use the boom microphone holder for additional stability.
