Safety Warnings

WARNING: Riding an electric motorbike can be a hazardous activity. EVERCROSS EV12M is intended to move, and it is possible to lose control, fall off, or get into dangerous situations. Serious injury or death can occur. RIDE AT YOUR OWN RISK AND USE COMMON SENSE.

Appropriate Rider Use and Parental Supervision

This manual contains important safety information. It is your responsibility to review this information and ensure all riders understand warnings, cautions, and safety topics. EVERCROSS recommends periodic review and reinforcement of this information with younger riders, and inspection/maintenance of the vehicle for their safety.

The recommended rider age (3-12 years for the EV12M) is an estimate. Rider size, weight, or skills may affect suitability. Do not exceed the weight limit of 143 lbs (65 kg). Any rider unable to fit comfortably on the EV12M should not attempt to ride it.

A parent's decision to allow a child to ride this product should be based on the child's maturity, skill, and ability to follow rules.

Acceptable Riding Practices and Conditions

Always check and obey local laws or regulations regarding electric bike usage.

Ride defensively. Watch for potential obstacles that could catch your wheel or cause loss of control. Be careful to avoid pedestrians, skaters, skateboards, scooters, bikes, children, or animals. Respect the rights and property of others.

The electric bike is intended for use only in controlled environments free of potential traffic hazards, not on public streets or sidewalks. Do not ride in areas with pedestrian or vehicle traffic.

Do not activate the speed control unless you are on the electric motorbike in a safe, outdoor environment suitable for riding.

Jumping or other aggressive riding can over-stress and damage the product. The rider assumes all risks associated with high-stress activity.

The EV12M is intended for use on flat, level ground without loose debris like rocks or gravel. Wet, slick, bumpy, uneven, or rough surfaces may impair traction and contribute to accidents.

Do not drive in mud, ice, puddles, or water. Avoid excessive speeds, especially on downhill rides. Never risk damaging surfaces like carpet or flooring by using the electric motorbike indoors.

Do not ride in wet or icy weather. Never immerse the electric motorbike in water, as electrical and drive components can be damaged, creating unsafe conditions.

Maintain a hold on the handlebars at all times. Never use headphones or a cell phone while riding. Never carry passengers or allow more than one person at a time to ride.

Proper Riding Attire

Always wear proper protective equipment: an approved safety helmet (with chin strap securely buckled), elbow pads, and kneepads. A helmet may be legally required by local law.

A long-sleeved shirt, long pants, and gloves are recommended. Always wear athletic shoes (lace-up shoes with rubber soles). Never drive barefoot or in sandals. Keep shoelaces tied and away from wheels, motor, and drive system.

FAILURE TO USE COMMON SENSE AND HEED THE ABOVE WARNINGS INCREASES THE RISK OF SERIOUS INJURY. USE WITH APPROPRIATE CAUTION AND SERIOUS ATTENTION TO SAFE OPERATION.

Safety Reminders: Pre-Ride Checklist

Loose Parts

Ensure there are no unusual rattles or sounds from loose or broken components. If unsure, consult an experienced mechanic.

Brake Check

Check the brake for proper function. Squeezing the lever should provide positive braking action.

Frame, Fork, and Handlebars

Inspect for cracks or broken connections. Aggressive riding can damage these parts. Inspect regularly.

Tire Inflation

Periodically inspect tires for wear and replace as needed. Regularly check tire pressure and re-inflate. If you get a flat, the inner tube can be patched or a new one purchased from EVERCROSS.

Safety Gear

Always wear proper protective equipment: an approved safety helmet, elbow pads, and kneepads. Always wear shoes (athletic, lace-up with rubber soles). Never drive barefoot or in sandals. Keep shoelaces tied and away from moving parts.

Do not use the vehicle for the first time until tires are inflated to the correct PSI and the battery is charged for at least 12 hours. Failure to follow these instructions may damage your vehicle and void your warranty.

Riding Your Electric Bike

Always wear a helmet and safety gear to avoid falls and injury during learning.

  1. Hold both handlebars firmly.
  2. Activate the power button. Observe the charge indicator on the right handlebar.
  3. Twist the throttle to accelerate. Place your foot on the pedal.
  4. To slow down or stop, release the accelerator and gradually squeeze the brake lever.

Charging the Battery

Regularly examine the supplied charger for damage to the cord, plug, enclosure, or other parts. If damage is found, the bike must not be charged until the charger is repaired or replaced.

  • Initial charge time: 12 hours
  • Recharge time: up to 8 hours

Charging Procedure:

  1. Open the rubber plug covering the charging port.
  2. Insert the charging plug into the port.
  3. Secure the rubber plug after charging is complete.

Notice:

  • EVERCROSS electric bikes are fully charged when the charger's LED light changes from red (charging) to green. Stop charging and unplug the unit when fully charged.
  • Do not charge if there is excessive odour, heat, leakage, or physical damage.
  • Do not connect the charger if the charging port is wet. Keep the charging environment clean and dry.
  • Avoid charging in extremely hot or cold environments.
  • Always disconnect from the charger before cleaning the electric motorbike with liquid.
  • Charging should be operated by an adult.
  • Use only the EVERCROSS-recommended charger.

Daily Care and Maintenance

Chain and Sprocket

The chain may have a "loose spot" and "tight spot" due to sprocket position, which is normal. Adjust chain tension to the ideal level at the tightest spot. Ensure proper chain alignment; the wheel must not be skewed. If the chain is noisy or rough, check lubrication, tension, and alignment in that order.

Battery Care and Disposal

Do not store the battery in temperatures above 75°F (24°C) or below -10°F (-23°C). Fully charge the battery after every use to prolong its lifespan.

Disposal: Batteries must be recycled or disposed of in an environmentally sound manner. Do not dispose of batteries in fire, as they may explode or leak. Do not mix batteries with regular household trash. Incineration, landfilling, or mixing sealed batteries with household trash is prohibited by law in most areas.

Charger

Regularly examine the charger for damage to the cord, plug, enclosure, or other parts. If damage is found, the EV12M must not be charged until the charger is repaired or replaced.

Replacement Parts

Frequently requested replacement parts (wheels, tires, tubes, batteries, chargers) are available for purchase online.

Cleaning and Storage

Do not clean the electric bike with alcohol, gasoline, kerosene, or other corrosive/volatile chemical solvents. Do not wash the bike with a high-pressure water spray.

During cleaning, ensure the bike is turned off, the charging cable is unplugged, and the rubber flap is closed. Water leakage can cause electric shock or other problems.

When not in use, store the bike indoors in a dry and cool place. Avoid prolonged outdoor storage. Excessive sunlight, overheating, and overcooling can accelerate battery pack degradation.
