Flow Rate Corrections

Table 7: Gallons Per Minute of Hot Water Required

This graph illustrates the relationship between Gallons Per Minute (GPM) and MBH (Thousands of BTU per Hour) for various temperature drops (10°F, 20°F, 30°F, 40°F).

Table 8: Output-Flow Rate Corrections

Shows MBH which result at specific water temperature drops and minimum water flow rates which are required to maintain turbulent flow within element tubes. Minimum flow rate is 0.25 Ft./Sec.

Convector Coil Details

Coil construction features 2, 3, or 4 tube elements with copper tubes and aluminum fins, mechanically bonded at 6 fins per inch. Fin height is 2-1/2 inches.

Coil dimensions: 4" depth has 2 tubes (3-3/4" width), 6" depth has 3 tubes (5-3/4" width), 8" depth has 4 tubes (7-3/4" width).

Diagram Description: Illustrates the convector coil with details on tube elements, header connections (3/4" NPT typical), vent plug, and hanger attachment points.

Note: When ordering convectors with end pockets, the overall physical length increases by 4" for each end pocket, while the coil length remains standard.
