Charted figures showing pressure drop through Convectors with forced hot water. Used for determining pressure head requirement. Based on 64" length units, but applicable to shorter units, as most loss is due to headers.
Table 7: Gallons Per Minute of Hot Water Required
Diagram Description: A line graph titled "Gallons Per Minute of Hot Water Required" plots GPM on the Y-axis against MBH on the X-axis. Multiple lines represent different temperature drops (10°F, 20°F, 30°F, 40°F) with corresponding formulas.
MBH | 10°F DROP (GPM=MBH x .200) | 20°F DROP (GPM=MBH x .100) | 30°F DROP (GPM=MBH x .067) | 40°F DROP (GPM=MBH x .050) |

Diagram Description
Diagrams show the convector coil construction. One diagram illustrates the end-to-end length being the liner length less 1/2", and riser centers being the liner length less 2 1/2". It indicates a 3/4" NPT connection and a vent plug. Another diagram shows a 3-position hanger welded to the liner. Note: When ordering convectors with end pockets, always refer to the standard unit length. The overall physical length will increase by 4" for each end pocket. The coil length will remain the standard size. Coil fins are 2-1/2" high by width shown above and are mechanically bonded to copper tube at 6 fins per inch.
