*The declared vibration total value and the declared noise emission values have been measured in accordance with a standard test method. The declared vibration total value may also be used in a preliminary assessment of exposure.
Warning! The vibration and noise emission during actual use of the power tool can differ from the declared total value depending on the ways in which the tool is used. Minimize vibration and noise exposure by wearing gloves, limiting working time, and using accessories in good condition.
Safety Instructions
Please note the following safety notes to avoid malfunctions, damage, or physical injury:
- Read this manual carefully and use the machine only according to this manual.
- Dispose of used packaging material carefully or store it out of the reach of children. Danger of suffocation!
- Persons with limited physical, sensorial, or mental abilities should not use the machine unless supervised and briefed by a qualified person.
- Ensure the operating voltage matches your local power mains.
- The machine is designed for operation up to 2000 m above sea level.
- Check the power cable for damage before each use and have it replaced by a professional if damaged.
- Before working on walls, floors, etc., ensure the work area is de-energized. Inspect the area for utility lines (water, gas, power) before drilling. Use a suitable detecting device.
- Ensure the cord cannot get caught. Do not jam, wind, bend, or pinch the cord. Keep it away from hot surfaces.
- Keep ventilation louvers clean and open.
- Switch off and unplug the machine before cleaning, maintenance, or when not in use.
- Use the auxiliary handle. Loss of control can cause injuries.
- Always wear ear protection. Noise can lead to hearing damage.
- Wear a dust mask to protect against drilling dust. Wear safety goggles for chiselling to protect eyes from flying particles.
- The drill hammer has a hand-arm vibration of 15.71 m/s². Take sufficient rest breaks to avoid injuries due to hand-arm vibration.
- Before connecting to the power supply, ensure the machine is switched off to prevent accidental startup.
- Important: Change operating mode (drilling/hammer drilling/chiselling) only when the machine is completely stopped.
- Do not use the machine if it is damaged. Do not disassemble or attempt repairs yourself; contact customer service.
- Hold the tool by insulated gripping surfaces when working near hidden wiring or the power cord. Contact with a live wire can energize metal parts and cause electric shock.
- Hold the machine firmly with both hands for a secure stance and better guidance.
- Secure the workpiece with clamping devices or a vice.
- Wait for the machine to stop completely before setting it down. The tool can jam, leading to loss of control.
- Immediately switch off if the tool jams. High reaction torques can cause kickback and serious injury.
Residual Risk:
- Lung injury if no suitable dust mask is worn.
- Hearing loss if no suitable ear protection is worn.
- Eye injury from flying materials if no suitable eye protection is worn.
- Health damage from hand-arm vibrations if used for prolonged periods or not guided/maintained properly.
- Injury risk if long hair, loose clothing, or jewelry get caught by rotating parts.
- Reduce residual risk by using the hammer drill carefully and following all safety instructions.
