Product Description

The smart gateway is the control center of ZigBee devices. Users can design and implement smart application scenarios by adding ZigBee devices.

Indicator Status

Network Connection Indicator (Green):

• Steady Off: Network disconnected
• Steady On: Network connected
• Blinks: Data transmission accessed

Status Indicator (Green):

• Steady On: Ready for connection
• Blinks: Access learning mode
• Steady Off: Successful connection

Preparation for Use

• Mobile phone is connected to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.

Add Devices (MOES App)

Note: MOES APP offers enhanced compatibility and features compared to Tuya Smart/Smart Life APP, including Siri control, widgets, and scene recommendations. While Tuya Smart/Smart Life APP still functions, MOES APP is highly recommended.

Method One: Tuya iOS APP Interface

1. Download the MOES App from the App Store or scan the provided QR code.
2. Register or Log In: Enter the Register/Login interface. Tap "Register" to create an account using your phone number to receive a verification code and set a password. If you already have a MOES account, choose "Log In".
3. Add the Gateway: Open the MOES App, tap the "+" icon in the upper right corner, and select "Wireless Gateway (Zigbee)" to add the device.
4. Confirm Connection: Ensure your mobile phone is connected to your home's 2.4GHz broadband router. The mobile phone and the gateway should be on the same local area network.
5. Add Device: On the "My Home" page of the App, click the "+" button in the upper right corner. Choose "Wireless Gateway (Zigbee)" to add.
6. Device Added: Once the device is added successfully, you can edit its name and tap "Done" to enter the device page.

Method Two: Home APP Operation Interface

1. Connect Gateway: Connect the gateway to power and your home's 2.4GHz broadband router using the network cable.
2. Confirm Indicator: Verify the green indicator light is steady. If not, press and hold the reset button until the green light remains steady.
3. Ensure Network: Make sure your mobile phone is connected to the home 2.4GHz broadband router and is on the same local area network as the gateway.
4. Add Device in MOES App: Open the MOES App, tap "+" on the upper right, and choose "Wireless Gateway (Zigbee)" to add.
5. Add Device in Home App: On the "My Home" page of the App, click the "+" button in the upper right corner.
6. Device Added: The device is added successfully. You can edit its name and tap "Done" to enter the device page.

How to Use Apple HomeKit Service

Attention: A device running iOS 13 or higher is required to use Apple HomeKit service.

Method One: MOES App Interface

1. Ensure the MOES App is configured with the HomeKit gateway.
2. Navigate to "APP Personal Centre" and select "HomeKit Information".
3. Tap "Add HomeKit Device" to add a HomeKit device.
4. Scan the QR code on the HomeKit accessory to pair it with the network.
5. If scanning fails, tap "I Don't Have a Code or Cannot Scan". Enter the 8-digit network pairing code from the QR code.
6. HomeKit device added successfully.

Method Two: Home App Interface

1. Confirm the MOES App is configured with the HomeKit gateway.
2. Open the Home app on your iPhone and tap the plus sign (+) in the upper-right corner.
3. Tap "Add Accessory" and follow the application guide to add the device.
4. Scan the QR code on the HomeKit accessory to pair it with the network.
5. If scanning fails, tap "I Don't Have a Code or Cannot Scan". Enter the 8-digit network pairing code from the QR code.
6. After successful pairing, the HomeKit accessory will be displayed on the Home app's home screen.

Control and Manage Equipment

After setup, you can:

• Control and manage devices within the Home app.
• Control devices via a HomePod smart speaker.
• Control devices using Siri.

You can also control devices, share them with family, and set up intelligent scenarios through the MOES application.

Note:

• The HK ZigBee Wired Gateway will not be displayed on the Home App homepage but will appear under "Home Settings" > "Home Hubs & Bridges".
• ZigBee sub-devices still need to be added within the MOES App.

Electronic Information Products Toxic And Hazardous Substance Declaration

Symbol Key:

• 'O': Indicates that the content of this toxic and hazardous substance in all homogeneous materials of this part is below the maximum limit specified in SJ/T1163-2006.
• 'X': Indicates that the toxic or hazardous substance contained in at least one of the homogeneous materials of the part exceeds the maximum limit specified in the SJ/T1163-2006 standard.

Environmental Protection Use Period: The figures on this label indicate that the product has an environmental protection use period of 10 years under normal use conditions. Some parts may also have an environmentally friendly use period mark.

Storage

Products should be stored in a warehouse where the temperature is between -10℃ and +50℃, with relative humidity ≤70%RH. The environment should be free of acid, alkali, salt, corrosive substances, explosive gases, and flammable materials. Protect from dust, rain, and snow.

FAQ

Q1: Can gateway/router devices penetrate walls or control Zigbee devices on upper and lower floors?

Through-wall penetration is possible, but the specific distance depends on the wall's thickness and material. Controlling devices on upper and lower floors is more difficult. In such cases, using Zigbee repeater products can effectively expand the Zigbee communication network range.

Q2: What if the signal coverage of the gateway/router is poor?

This is related to the placement of the gateway/router and its distance from the sub-device. For large apartments or villas, more than two gateways/routers may be required, or Zigbee repeaters can be added. Ensure no metal wall blocking or high-power appliance interference between the gateway and sub-device. It is recommended that the distance between the gateway and sub-device does not exceed 5 meters and is not blocked by walls.

Q3: Can sub-devices under different gateways be linked?

Yes, linking is possible through cloud connections. It also supports local linkage of multiple gateways within the same LAN. This ensures efficient sub-device linkage even when the external network is disconnected or the cloud has issues, provided at least one gateway has strong performance (e.g., a wired Zigbee gateway).

Q4: The sub-device cannot be added to the gateway?

Please ensure the sub-device is reset to its pairing state. Insufficient wireless signal strength may also be a cause. Ensure there is no metal wall blocking or high-power appliance interference between the gateway and sub-device. It is recommended that the distance between the gateway and sub-device should not exceed 5 meters and should not be blocked by walls.

For product quality issues within 24 months of receipt, prepare the product and packaging for after-sales maintenance at the point of purchase. Personal damage may incur a maintenance fee.

MOES reserves the right to refuse warranty service if:

• Products have damaged appearance, missing LOGO, or are beyond the service term.
• Products have been disassembled, tampered with, privately repaired, modified, or have missing parts.
• The circuit is burned, or the data cable or power interface is damaged.
• Products are damaged by foreign matter intrusion (e.g., fluids, sand, dust, soot).

Recycling Information

Products marked with the WEEE symbol (Directive 2012/19/EU) must be disposed of separately from municipal waste. This is to protect health and the environment. Dispose of this equipment at designated collection points for electrical and electronic equipment. Correct disposal and recycling help prevent negative environmental and health consequences. Contact your installer or local authority for information on collection points and procedures.
