Introduction to the Xiegu CE-19 Data Interface Extension Unit
Document ID: 03-CZ1206
Product Overview
The Xiegu CE-19 data interface extension unit is designed to extend the ACC port of the X5105 or G90 radios. It facilitates user access to PCs, data terminals, and modems. This unit extends the MINI-DIN8 interface to a 3.5mm stereo socket and the MINI-DIN6 interface for the XPA125, offering convenience for users. The following details are provided, using the X5105 as an example.
1. The Role of the Switch
As shown in Figure 1, there is a switch on the expansion unit, which controls 8V DC and ALC voltage. The default position of the switch is 'OFF', meaning it is not connected to the 6PIN-MIDINI expansion interface (used for the XPA125 interface).
If you need these two signals (8V DC and ALC), adjust the switch to the 'ON' position. Note: Do not turn this switch ON when connected to the X5105.
Indicators:
- Power indicator LED: Lights up after being connected to the X5105.
- Launch light: Illuminates when the X5105 is transmitting.

The CE-19 unit provides a PTT output signal via relay output pins, which is completely isolated from the X5105. This isolation allows it to adapt to different versions of the XPA125 and can also be used with other brands of amplifiers that require a low-level trigger.
The terminal definitions for each interface are printed on the cover of the CE-19 unit.
2. Interface Description
The CE-19 unit provides several port definitions for connectivity:

Figure 2: Interface Distribution
Figure 2 illustrates the layout of the connectors on the CE-19 unit. The unit features:
- PTT CON: PTT signal / BAND signal output port. The PTT signal is completely isolated from the host, providing linkage with the host's "low" trigger.
- 6PIN-MINIDIN: Dedicated interface for the XPA125.
- AF CON: Audio input / output port. Audio output from this port is directly output after demodulation, without any filtering.
- DATA CON: Data output port. Audio output from this port passes through an active filter within the machine. The two terminals of this port are parallel, providing identical output signals.

Additional Notes on Ports:
- The definition of each extended port is the same as the corresponding port on the ACC port of the X5105 host. Refer to the X5105 manual for more details.
- For the definition of the terminal expansion port, please refer to the indication information printed on the expansion card surface.
- When used for amateur radio data communication, connect the audio input/output to the AF CON interface.
