Charging
Follow these steps for optimal charging:
- Ensure the USB-C charging port is completely dry before charging.
- Fully charge the speakerphone before its first use to maximize battery lifespan.
- Always use a certified USB-C charging cable and charger to prevent any potential damage.
The device indicates charging status via LED lights. A full charge is indicated when the LED turns off after being lit.
Powering On/Off
To power the Anker PowerConf S500 on or off, press and hold the Power Button for 3 seconds. The device will also automatically power on when connected to a PC via USB-C and will power off after 30 minutes of inactivity if no device is connected.
To check the current battery level when the device is powered on, briefly press the Power Button.
Connecting Your PowerConf S500
There are three primary methods to connect the PowerConf S500 to your devices:
Option A: Connect to PC (Bluetooth USB Adapter)
This method utilizes the included Bluetooth USB adapter for a stable connection.
- Plug the provided Bluetooth USB adapter (Anker Soundsync A3303, Model: A3303) into a USB port on your PC. The PowerConf S500 (Model: A3305) is ready for use upon powering on.
- You may need to manually configure the PowerConf S500 as the audio input and output device within your PC's system settings or conference software.
- macOS: Navigate to System Preferences > Sound > Sound Effects / Output / Input.
- Windows: Right-click the sound icon in the taskbar, select Open Sound settings, and choose your output and input devices accordingly.
- For specific conference applications like Zoom or Skype, ensure the audio settings (Settings > Audio > Speaker / Microphone) are configured to use the PowerConf S500.
Option B: Connect to PC (USB-C Cable)
Connect the PowerConf S500 directly to your PC using the provided USB-C cable. The speakerphone will power on and be ready for use.
Option C: Connect to Smartphone or Tablet (Bluetooth)
This method uses Bluetooth for wireless connectivity.
- When powered on, the PowerConf S500 will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode. Alternatively, you can manually initiate pairing mode by pressing the Bluetooth Button.
- On your smartphone or tablet, navigate to the Bluetooth settings and select "Anker PowerConf S500" from the list of available devices to connect.

The speakerphone will automatically connect to the last successfully connected device when powered on, if available. To pair with a new Bluetooth device, press the Bluetooth Button to re-enter pairing mode. To disconnect from a currently active device, press the Bluetooth Button again.

The app offers two voice pickup modes:
- Standard Mode: Picks up all sounds from the near end, suitable for general conversations.
- Broadcasting Mode: Restores and delivers original sounds by turning the speaker off. Note that you will not hear the far end in this mode. This mode is strongly suggested for use via USB connection.

Linking Mode
Linking mode allows you to connect multiple PowerConf S500 speakerphones for an expanded audio experience. This feature is available only when connecting via USB-C cable, not via Bluetooth.
- Connect one PowerConf S500 to your PC using the provided USB-C cable.
- Power on another PowerConf S500. Then, press the Link Button on both PowerConf S500 speakerphones simultaneously to enter linking mode.
