Getting Started
Inserting the Battery
- Remove the battery cover by rotating it counterclockwise.
- Lift and remove the protective film between the battery and the cap.
- Insert a CR2 3V battery with the negative (-) end facing inward.
Setting Focus
Use the viewfinder to aim at a target. Rotate the diopter adjustment dial until the target and the crosshairs appear clear and sharp.
QUICK GRAB
The device features a built-in magnet, allowing it to be attached to golf carts or clubs for convenience.
How to Operate
- Power On: Press the Power / Measurement Button.
- Select Mode: Press the Mode Button to cycle through Standard, Scan, and Pin Finder modes.
- Aim: Align the targeting crosshairs with the desired object.
- Measure: Press the Power / Measurement Button again. The Focus Square will appear, and the distance will be measured.
Changing the Unit of Measurement
Hold down the Mode Button for approximately 3 seconds to toggle between Meters (M) and Yards (Y).
Slope Function
Slope ON/OFF
Press and hold the Mode Button for 5 seconds to turn the Slope feature on or off.
Slope Function Details
- [Slope ON]: Displays the slope-adjusted distance prominently. It first shows the straight-line distance, then after about 2 seconds, displays the height difference as 'H: Number' (positive for uphill, negative for downhill).
- [Slope OFF]: Displays only the straight-line distance. Other slope-related indicators will disappear.
Mode Settings
The device offers two primary modes: Standard/Pin Finder and Scan.
Standard Mode and Pin Finder Mode
- Press the Power / Measurement Button briefly to display the distance with vibration feedback.
- Press and hold the Power / Measurement Button for 2-3 seconds to activate Pin Finder Mode.
- Pin Finder Mode is useful for identifying the closest target when multiple objects are present, ensuring accurate measurement to the pin even if obscured by trees or rocks. For best results, aim at an object behind the pin, then move towards the pin.
Scan Mode
- This mode is beneficial for measuring distances to multiple targets quickly.
- After selecting Scan Mode, press the Power / Measurement Button once to initiate a 5-second continuous scan, displaying distances to various targets.
- Measurement begins automatically upon pressing the button; no need to hold it down.
Note on Mode Switching: Mode can only be changed when the targeting crosshair is displayed. It is unavailable when the focus square is active. Ensure the focus square is deactivated (by briefly pressing the Power/Measurement button) before changing modes.
